Learning outcomes: Have knowledge of the use of modern computer technologies and automobile construction. Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages. The ability to use a variety of methods, including modern information technologies, for effective communication at the professional and social levels. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions. The ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge. The ability to take responsibility for the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics. Ability to demonstrate understanding of basic environmental principles, occupational health and safety, and their application. The ability to possess skills for the effective application of computer technologies in the automotive industry.
Required prior and related subjects: •Automated design; •Car’s body and its systems designing; •CAD in car production; •Computer-aided design in automotive car industry.
Summary of the subject: During the study of the academic discipline, the student acquires theoretical and practical knowledge of car body design using three-dimensional modeling programs. Using the method of finite elements, the student acquires the skills of calculating body elements for typical loading modes.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: Laboratory works - max 30 points; Protection of calculation and graphic work max - 30 points; Credit control - max 40 points.

Summary of the subject: The formation of boundary conditions of the static strength. Computer modeling of the stress-strain state of frame bending. Computer modeling of the stress-strain state of the frame in torsion. Optimization of the structure of the body shell of strength. The calculation of the strength of the body in case of rollover.
Assessment methods and criteria: • writing reports from laboratory work, graphics work, oral examination (30%); • final control (70% control measure, test), written-oral form (70%).

Learning outcomes: 1. Possession of sufficient knowledge in fields related to design and project activities, which will provide an opportunity to critically analyze the situation in the field of automobile construction and determine the key trends in the development of the industry (ZH1). 2. Obtaining knowledge for the organization and formation of automotive production with the help of modern information, communication and innovative technologies (ZH2). 3. Knowledge and skills regarding the development and implementation of new innovative technological systems (ZH6). 4. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve the tasks of the development of the automotive industry, using known methods (UM1). 5. Apply knowledge to solve problems of synthesis and analysis in systems that are characteristic of the automotive industry (UM2). 6. To think systematically and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas in the field of automobile construction (UM3). 7. Apply knowledge of the technical characteristics of cars, technological features of project design implementation (UM4).
