Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must: • to know and understand the processes of industrial mechanical engineering, to have skills in their practical use; • carry out engineering calculations to solve complex problems and practical problems in industrial mechanical engineering; • analyze engineering objects, processes and methods; • create new and improve existing designs of car units and systems.
Required prior and related subjects: • Fundamentals of vehicle and tractor structure; • Design and calculation of vehicles.
Summary of the subject: The layout of the cars and buses. The estimated modes of the dynamic loads acting on the car. Development of the engine and systems. Development and calculation of the transmission. Development and calculation of the steering and the brake actuator.
Assessment methods and criteria: Defense of practical works in oral form by surveying the theoretical material on the topic of the work and research methodology (30 points). Examination control: written component 60 points, oral component 10 points.
