Major: Applied Ecology and Balanced Nature Management
Code of subject: 7.183.01.E.024
Credits: 6.00
Department: Ecological Safety and Nature Protection Activity
Lecturer: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Volodymyr Ivanovych Mokry
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: Program results: • 1. Information and analytical methods to obtain information on the current state of various components of degraded landscapes; 2. Assess the technology of mining and biological land reclamation; 3. Predict the state of degraded landscapes in the future. 4. Determine the strategy and principles of reclamation of the state of disturbed lands; 5. Be able to determine the degree of disturbance of land, the risks of environmental emergencies, justify ways to solve environmental problems; 6. Identify the type of disturbed lands; 7. Develop ecologically safe and economically feasible project proposals for reclamation and reclamation of disturbed lands.
Required prior and related subjects: Geoecoinformation systems Remote methods of ecological research Technologies for designing natural and man-made geoparks Waste processing and utilization technologies Innovative environmental technologies
Summary of the subject: The course is designed for: 1. Study of technologies of mining and biological land reclamation; 2. Obtaining information on the current state of disturbed lands in the process of geological exploration and development of mineral deposits; 3. Synthesis of information on the current and projected scale of landscape disturbances, the impact of earth surface disturbances on the environment; 4. Comprehensive provision of information on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of natural resources of degraded landscapes, necessary for quality control of objects, phenomena, environmental processes; 5. Study and comparison of parameters of degraded landscapes, which contributes to the choice of optimal design technologies and areas of reclamation (fishery, recreational, landscape, agricultural, forestry) .; 6. Acquisition of skills to solve engineering and technological problems of design and restoration of degraded landscapes, protection of disturbed lands, preservation of natural and man-made geoheritage, protection of nature and environment.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control, oral examination (30%); Final control (control measure, exam): written form (70%)
