Summary of the subject: The course covers the principles and technologies of networking, modern network equipment, administration software, methods and means of protecting information in corporate networks. Networking technologies are studied using Cisco Packet Target and VM Ware software.

Subject, purpose and objectives of the course. Network service. Classification of networks. Physical environments of networks. Types of network topologies.
The concept of a protocol. Levels of protocols. Link layer protocols: Ethernet, 100 VG-Anylan. Token Ring. IP network layer protocol. Application layer protocols HTTP. ROR. IMAR, Telnet. The most common protocol stacks.
The main components of networks.
Repeaters. bridges, switches, routers. Principles of operation, design. characteristics of the main components of networks.
Calculation of the correctness of the local network configuration
Management of Windows Server 2003 servers.
Connecting to other computers. Sending console messages. Manage the environment, profiles, and system properties. Manage devices and drivers. Managing dynamic libraries.
Automate administrative tasks.
Manage group policy. Working with group policies. Managing computer user scenarios. Applying security policy using templates.Active Directory Service. Active Directory components and working with them. User and group accounts
Archiving and restoring data.
Types of archiving. Archiving encrypted data. Disaster recovery of the system
