Learning outcomes: PH01. Design buildings and structures (according to the specialization "Highways and airfields"), including using computer design tools.
PH02. Make effective design and technical decisions, taking into account the features of the construction object, aspects of social and ethical responsibility, technical and economic justification, determination of the optimal mode of its operation and implementation of resource and energy saving measures.
PH03. Conduct technical examination of projects of construction objects and civil engineering (in accordance with specialization), monitoring the compliance of projects and technical documentation with design tasks, technical conditions and other current regulatory and legal documents in the field of architecture and building - science
PH04. To ensure quality in the implementation of construction and civil engineering objects.
PH07. Develop measures for labor and environmental protection during research and production activities.
PH08. Select modern materials, technologies and methods of construction work, taking into account the architectural and planning, constructive part of the project and the production base of the construction organization.
PH09. Collect the necessary information using scientific and technical literature, databases and other sources, analyze and evaluate it.
RNS 1.1. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve the problems of the development of highways and airfields, using known methods.
RNS 1.2. Apply knowledge to solve typical problems of synthesis and analysis in the field of construction of highways and airfields.
RNS 1.3. To systematically think and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas in the field of design, construction and operation of highways and airfields.

Road and airfield surfaces
Summary of the subject: The discipline studies the main technological operations in the reconstruction of the earth, road surfaces of highways and engineering objects on them.

Operating conditions of the existing subgrade and the main ways of increasing its strength and stability
Preparatory work for the reconstruction of the ground surface

Increasing the height of the embankments and the depth of the trenches
Reconstruction of removable areas
Increasing the stability of slopes. Reconstruction of the ground surface and improvement of the drainage system

Road and airfield surfaces
Summary of the subject: The discipline studies the main technological operations in the reconstruction of the earth, road surfaces of highways and engineering objects on them.
Опис: The course work is performed according to the task variant with the indication of the necessary initial data and the proposed section of the road.
On the basis of these data, the student must conduct an analysis and determine the category of the road section, for the future; design a plan; longitudinal and transverse profiles, develop the road element in detail in accordance with the task variant, as well as develop a traffic flow scheme during the reconstruction of the road.
The following approximate content of the coursework is recommended for the total volume of 30-35 pages of the explanatory note:
Introduction.
Justification of the nomenclature of road reconstruction works.
Determination of the technical category of the existing road.
Traffic forecast on the road section.
Justification of technical decisions and scope of works on road reconstruction.
Geometric parameters.
Earth canvas.
Artificial structures.
Road clothes.
Provision of traffic during road reconstruction. The main volumes of road reconstruction works.

- Transverse profiles of the ground surface and road surface construction;
- The structural element of the road is developed in detail according to the task
- Road traffic organization scheme for the reconstruction period.
The graphic material is made on an A1 sheet.

• final control (70% exam), written-oral form (70%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The design of the coursework must meet the requirements of the Unified Design Documentation System.
The coursework is supervised by the teacher-head of the course design.
The explanatory note should reflect the course and sequence of the student's work in solving the assigned tasks and should contain all the necessary calculations and justifications.
The design of the note and graphic materials must meet the requirements of the current DSTU for design and technical documentation and standards for drawing works
The course work is evaluated during the defense in front of the commission consisting of 2 teachers of the department on the days established by the department
