Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: professional competences: - ІНТ. The ability to solve problems of a research and/or innovative nature in the field of construction and civil engineering. - ЗК01. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. - ЗК04. Ability to make informed decisions. - ЗК06. The desire to preserve the environment. - СК01. Ability to integrate knowledge from other fields and specialized conceptual knowledge in construction and civil engineering, combined with compliance with applicable regulations, to solve complex problems in broad or multidisciplinary contexts. - СК02. The ability to critically analyze modern problems in the field of construction and civil engineering to solve complex problems of professional activity.
Learning outcomes: PH01. Design buildings and structures (according to specialization), including using computer design tools. PH02. Make effective design and technical decisions, taking into account the features of the construction object, aspects of social and ethical responsibility, technical and economic justification, determination of the optimal mode of its operation and implementation of resource and energy saving measures. PH07. Develop measures for labor and environmental protection during research and production activities. PH08. Select modern materials, technologies and methods of construction work, taking into account the architectural and planning, constructive part of the project and the production base of the construction organization. PH09. Collect the necessary information using scientific and technical literature, databases and other sources, analyze and evaluate it. PH10. Ability to carry out commercial and economic activities of intellectual property protection in the field of architecture and construction. PH11. Manage complex, unpredictable construction processes that require new strategic approaches. ЗН1. Co-requisites: • Water Supply and Sewerage of Industrial Enterprises, • Treatment and Disposal of Sewage Sludge.
Summary of the subject: The discipline "Wastewater treatment" is one of the profiles for the "Water supply and sewerage" specialization. In the water drainage system, treatment facilities play a major role, which is inextricably linked to environmental protection, in particular, to the removal, purification and disinfection of wastewater and its release into the reservoir. The extreme diversity of wastewater pollutants, the difficulties associated with their removal, the unstable mode of entry and concentration of wastewater pollutants - all this requires the use of many modern methods of purification and treatment of wastewater and its sediments. The discipline examines the composition and properties of wastewater transported from settlements and industrial enterprises to wastewater treatment facilities, protection of surface water from pollution by return water, general characteristics of wastewater treatment methods and their sediment treatment are given. The methods and structures of mechanical and biological wastewater treatment, their deep cleaning and disinfection are considered in detail.
Опис: The composition and properties of wastewater. Water bodies and their protection from contamination by sewage. The methods and technological schemes for sewage treatment. Grates. Sands. The primary clarifiers. Biofilters. Aerotanks. The secondary clarifiers. Deep wastewater treatment. Disinfection of wastewater and release them into the water. Wastewater treatment of small settlements and individual buildings. Sewage treatment plants.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current and examination control. Current control – the work of students during practical classes, performance and protection of laboratory work. Examination control – written component (test control), oral component.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • work of students during practical classes (10%), performance and defense of laboratory work (20%); • final control (exam): written-oral form (70%)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: – 100–88 points – grade A ("excellent") is given for a high level of knowledge of the module's educational material, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions during solving practical tasks; – 87–80 points – grade B ("very good") is given for knowledge of the educational material of the module above the average level, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; – 79–71 points – grade C ("good") is given for a generally correct understanding of the learning material of the module, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions during the development solving practical problems; – 70–61 points – grade D ("mediocre") is given for mediocre knowledge of the module's educational material, weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; – 60–50 points – grade E ("satisfactory") is given for weak knowledge of the module's educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; – 49–26 points – the grade FX ("unsatisfactory" with the possibility of retaking the exam or credit) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the module, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; - 25-00 points - grade F ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study of the module) is given for ignorance of a significant part of the module's educational material, significant errors in answering questions, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Опис: Determining the cost and concentrations of substances in wastewater. Determining the necessary degree of wastewater treatment. The method of sewage treatment and the types of treatment facilities. Calculation of the buildings mechanical, biological and deep cleaning of wastewater. The method of disinfection of treated wastewater. Issue of return water into the pond. The layout of the treatment facilities.
