Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the educational discipline by students is to master the theoretical foundations and practical skills of building calculation models of technical objects, analyzing their power load, kinematic and energy parameters. Familiarization with the design, basics of calculations and design of typical elements of technical objects of general purpose and electrical engineering industry.
Завдання: The study of the academic discipline involves the formation and development of the following competencies in the students of education: general competences: ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis (ZK1); ability to apply knowledge in practical situations (ZK2); ability to communicate in the state language (ZK3) the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources (ZK5); professional competences: the ability to solve practical problems using automated design and calculation systems (FC1) the ability to solve practical problems involving the methods of mathematics, physics and electrical engineering (FC2 ability to apply and integrate knowledge and understanding of disciplines of other fields; to solve technical problems both individually and as part of a team, based on the experience gained during laboratory work (FC 1,2,6,7,9,12)
Learning outcomes: 1. ability to establish mechanical criteria for the robustness of typical elements of technical objects, to draw up calculation schemes and perform the necessary calculations; 2. knowledge of general purpose design structures, the ability to evaluate design decisions according to the criteria of economy and metal capacity while ensuring the required reliability of the technical object; 3. ability to correctly use the normative terminology of applied mechanics, operating normative and reference materials; 4. the ability to design elements of technical systems and structures taking into account the technology of their manufacturing, adjustment, operation and maintenance; 5. to assess the residual strength of elements of long-service technical systems and structures and to substantiate the possibility of extending their work life.

Summary of the subject: "Technical Mechanics" is an educational discipline in which students study calculation models of technical objects, analysis of their force load, kinematic and energy parameters; basics of calculations for strength, stiffness, stability of the main schematic elements of technical objects: rods and thin-walled shells, flexible threads; basic concepts of the theory of mechanisms and machines and the dynamics of an electric drive; the basic principles of design (stages of creating new products, types and completeness of design documents, characteristics of construction materials, concepts of manufacturability and accuracy of manufacturing products); design and calculation of typical elements of technical objects of general purpose (connections, mechanical gears, shafts, bearings, etc.).
Опис: 1. Basics of statics, kinematics and dynamics. 2. Basis of calculations of technical objects for durability and rigidity 3. Strength and stiffness of the rods at tension, torsion and bending 4. Stability of compressed rods. Calculation of thin-walled shells. 5. Fatigue strength. Fundamentals of the theory of mechanisms and machines 6. Fundamentals of designing and constructing technical objects 7. Design and calculation of joints of machine parts. 8. Mechanical transmissions of the rotary movement. Shafts, bearings, couplings.
Assessment methods and criteria: Control of preparedness for laboratory classes Evaluation of laboratory work reports Control of knowledge in practical classes Control of the performance of tasks of independent work Test control of knowledge by means of the emergency services (incoming, current) Examination
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) awarded for a high level of knowledge of the educational material, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is given for a generally correct understanding of the educational material and for the ability to solve practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is given for weak knowledge of the educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, for weak skills in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material and inability to solve practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
