Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline is to form the future specialist's knowledge, skills and abilities, provided by the qualification characteristics of the master's degree in Earth Sciences, specialization 103.03 Geotechnical engineering, in particular, to provide concepts about the basic definitions of global, regional and local geodynamics, to acquaint students with the methods of evaluating deformations of the earth's crust and modeling kinematics of lithospheric plates, with geodetic and geological-physical methods of studying and monitoring modern geodynamic processes.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of higher education: general competences: K02. The ability to identify, pose, and solve problems; K05. The ability to act socially responsibly and consciously. special (professional) competences: K08. Understanding the need to comply with copyright and related intellectual property rights; perception of state and international systems of legal protection of intellectual property. K09. Knowledge of modern principles of nature management, interaction of nature and society with the application of rational use of natural resources, ecological aspects

Summary of the subject: The training course expands and consolidates theoretical knowledge of the basics of planetary and engineering geodynamics. Methods of estimating crustal deformations (finite element method) and modeling the kinematics of lithospheric plates (mean square collocation method) are studied. Geodetic (classical and satellite), as well as geological-physical methods of studying and monitoring modern geodynamic processes are considered.

Spatial and temporal classification of geodynamic phenomena. Topic 2. Global geodynamics. Global geodynamic phenomena. Movement of lithospheric plates. Kinematic models of the movement of lithospheric plates. Topic 3. Evaluation of deformations of the earth's crust using the finite element method. Deformation and rotation tensors on the geosphere. Principal axes and principal values ??of the strain tensor on the sphere. Modeling of kinematics of tectonic plates. Topic 4. Prediction of components of linear velocities by the mean square collocation method. Prediction of components of linear velocities by the mean square collocation method. Topic 5. Regional geodynamics. Regional geodynamics of Ukraine. The practical significance of the study of regional seismicity. Topic 6. Local geodynamics. Active regional and local geodynamic phenomena. Assessment of seismicity of urban areas and principles of seismic microzoning. The main measures to reduce the seismic risk by engineering structures. Topic 7. Geodetic methods of studying geodynamic processes. Geodetic methods of studying geodynamic processes. Predictive and man-made geodynamic polygons. Topic 8. Classical geodetic methods of observations on the GDP. Classical geodetic methods of observations on the GDP. Topic 9. Modern GNSS methods of observing geodynamic processes. Current vertical movements of the earth's crust in the European region according to geodetic measurements. Topic 11. Modern horizontal movements of the earth's crust in Europe. Modern horizontal movements of the earth's crust in Europe, their connection with seismic activity and the spatial model of geodynamics of the Carpatho-Balkan region.
Assessment methods and criteria: The following methods are provided for monitoring the results of student learning in the process of ongoing monitoring: • current control over the performance of laboratory works and their protection; • testing in a virtual learning environment; • protection of an individual task; • oral survey from individual sections. Laboratory works are evaluated for 20 points.20 points - ("excellent") is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their relationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 17 points – ("very good") is awarded for knowledge of the educational material above the average level, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions asked (a small number of inaccuracies are possible), the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 15 points – ("good") is given for a generally correct understanding of the educational material, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 14 points - ("mediocre" ("satisfactory") is awarded for mediocre knowledge of the educational material, poorly reasoned answers, weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 10 points - ("satisfactory") awarded for weak knowledge of the component's educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 9 point – ("unsatisfactory") is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 4 points - ("very bad") is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material, significant mistakes in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of basic fundamental provisions.Examination control involves giving a written answer to the examination ticket, which includes 5 test questions of 1 and 2 difficulty levels, as well as 2 theoretical questions of 3 difficulty level.

Total for PC - 40 points Examination control (EC) Level 1 (5 test questions of 2 points each) – max 10 points; Level 2 (5 test questions of 4 points each) – max 20 points; Level 3 (2 theoretical questions of 15 points each) – max 30 points. Total for EC - 60 points A total of 100 points per discipline
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
