Мета вивчення дисципліни: 1. To teach students to understand and perform an analysis of a set of physical and chemical processes, fuel combustion processes, heat exchange and aerodynamic conditions that occur in special thermal installations during the production of chemical and silicate materials. 2. To teach students the methods of thermotechnical calculation of thermal installations and the basics of design. 3. To teach students the methods of justifying and regulating the thermal regimes of furnaces, understanding the role of the design of thermal installations and their components in the most effective implementation of technological tasks. 4. To acquaint students with the method of selection of the main and component equipment of thermal installations, analysis and evaluation of their operational indicators.

Ability to critically analyze existing technologies and form requirements for the design of technological equipment of chemical industries.

Search for the necessary chemical information technologies, processes and equipment of chemical production and materials based on them, systematize, analyze and evaluate relevant information. PR 4. To be carried out in scientific and technical literature, patents, databases data, other sources to search for the necessary information on chemical technologies, processes and equipment of chemical production and materials based on them, systematize, and analyze and evaluate relevant information.
