Learning outcomes: • know the features of the construction and operation of corporate networks, the main means of their audit, management and protection against unauthorized access; • be able to configure the TCP / IP stack on the nodes of the computer network; • be able to design a corporate intranet network, configure and model its operation using a software simulator; • be able to ensure the access of CCP subscribers to the Internet, build a DMZ and organize the protection of resources from external interference through network screens; • be able to justify the decisions made and determine the main characteristics of the developed network.
Required prior and related subjects: • Computer networks; • Security of information and communication systems; • Security of computer network infrastructure.
Summary of the subject: Designing a corporate computer network, setting up and modeling its operation using a software simulator. Organization of access of intranet network subscribers to the Internet, construction of DMZ and provision of protection against external interference. Registration of design results in accordance with the requirements of state and industry standards DSTU 3008-95.

Summary of the subject: The discipline "Computer Networks" is the formation of knowledge, skills and abilities to design, configure, maintain and administer modern computer networks. During the study of the discipline students receive information about modern principles of computer networks, protocols of their operation, gain experience in basic configuration of network equipment.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current speaking and written examination in laboratory classes, testing on topics and examination control with written and speaking components.

Learning outcomes: • know the general principles of construction and features of information and communication networks; • know international standards in the field of information and communication networks; • know the types and features of basic technologies of local computer networks and their communication equipment; • know the features of the stack of TCP / IP communication protocols and the basic principles of using IP addressing in integrated networks; • master the basics of the structure and operation of corporate networks and know the basic tools of their audit, management and protection against unauthorized access; • be able to choose the optimal LAN technology for building a corporate computer network in accordance to the specification; • be able to choose the necessary equipment, network operating system and stack of communication protocols to build a corporate network;; • be able to design a corporate intranet network, configure and model its operation using a software simulator; • be able to perform build IP network, determine the mask and unique subnet identifiers, host IDs, ensure the access of users to the Internet; • be able to justify the decisions made and determine the main characteristics of the developed network.

Summary of the subject: General principles of building computer networks. Standards in the field of data transmission systems and networks. Basic technologies and communication equipment of local networks. Global data networks. Stack of TCP / IP communication protocols. Basic principles of building integrated networks. Corporate computer networks. Ensuring access of corporate network clients to Internet resources. Protect corporate networks from external interference with firewalls.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (laboratory work): up to 32 points Examination control, written component: up to 50 points Examination control, oral component: up to 18 points Total for the discipline (maximum score): 100 points

Summary of the subject: The purpose of the course design is revealed as follows: systematization and consolidation of theoretical knowledge of students in the main sections of the course "Computer Networks"; in-depth study of problems of development and design of computer networks; acquisition by students of practical skills of modeling of computer networks in the simulation environment; acquaintance with abstract journals and other information sources in the field of computer networks for the purpose of the analysis of a condition of the solved problems; execution of all stages of network development on an example close to real tasks; preparation for the diploma project.
Assessment methods and criteria: Defense of the course project in the format of an oral presentation and demonstration of acquired skills and abilities.
