Characteristics of the educational program: The goal of the program is to form the ability of applicants to solve complex problems in the field of automation and computer-integrated technologies, to conduct research and innovation, which involves a deep rethinking of existing and new holistic knowledge, as well as practical implementation of the results. During the program, applicants perform educational and scientific components that provide the formation of general and special competencies in research, synthesis, design of automation systems, computer-integrated technologies and their components. The program contains selective blocks and disciplines for individual choice, which correspond to the topic of student's research. The student must complete the educational component of the program in the amount of 43 ECTS credits, which includes: - academic disciplines - 40 ECTS credits; - pedagogical workshop - 3 ECTS credits. ECTS credits are awarded to the student in case of successful passing of written (oral) tests or examinations in academic disciplines, defense of course works and projects, defense of the report on the workshop. The result of the scientific component is a dissertation, which is an independent research that offers a solution to the current scientific and applied problem in the specialty 151 "Automation and computer-integrated technologies". The results of dissertation must have scientific novelty and practical value and must be published in relevant scientific journals. The final attestation includes public defense of the Philosophy Doctor dissertation.
Gained competence: - ability to demonstrate knowledge of modern mathematical methods of research in the field of automation and computer-integrated technologies and related fields; - ability to demonstrate knowledge of development trends and the most important new scientific achievements in the field of automation and computer-integrated technologies, as well as in related fields; - ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of modern scientific theories and methods, and the ability to effectively apply them to the analysis, synthesis and optimization of automated process control systems and computer-integrated technologies.
- critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new ideas; - ability to self-develop and self-improvement during life, responsibility for teaching others and the results of strategic decisions; - initiation of original research and innovation complex projects, - leadership and ability of both autonomous and team work during project implementation; - ability to effectively apply methods of analysis, mathematical modeling, perform physical and mathematical experiments in research; - ability to integrate knowledge from other disciplines, apply a systematic approach and take into account non-technical aspects in solving scientific problems and conducting research; - ability to develop and implement projects, including own research, which give the opportunity to rethink existing or create new knowledge; - ability to apply modern methods of identification and development of mathematical models of technological objects, modern methods of forming control actions; - ability to carry out scientific and pedagogical activities in higher education, adhere to research ethics, as well as the rules of academic integrity.
