Characteristics of the educational program: The educational program is based on regulatory provisions, modern achievements of transport science and advanced practical experience in the field of railway design and operation
Gained competence: PLO 11. To know the main historical stages of development of the subject area and be able to operate with the basic categories and concepts of the specialty. PLO 12. To know the main provisions of regulatory and legislative acts of Ukraine in the field of railway transport, Rules of technical operation of Ukrainian railways, instructions and recommendations for the operation, repair and maintenance of railway infrastructure, its systems and elements. PLO 19. To know the structure of management of operation, maintenance and repair of railway track facilities and structures, their systems and individual elements. PLO 20. To know the purpose and specifics of the work of structural divisions of linear enterprises (track distances, track machine station, railway track and structures diagnostic centre) and plants, small teams of performers (teams, fences, sections), for the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of railway transport facilities, their systems and elements. PLO 21. To know the methods and be able to use technical measuring instruments, technical regulations, standards and other regulatory documents during the technical diagnosis of railway infrastructure facilities, its systems and elements. PLO 25. To know the basic requirements of labour protection, safety, fire safety and sanitary and hygienic conditions in the performance of professional activities in the maintenance of railway infrastructure.
PLO 3. To use oral and written communication skills in a foreign language, analysing professional texts and translate foreign language information sources. PLO 5. Use the principles of human resources formation; identify reserves for improving the efficiency of employees of railway infrastructure facilities. PLO 9. Apply international and national standards and practices in professional activities. PLO 13. Be able to identify and distinguish between objects of railway track and structures, their systems and elements. PLO 14. Organise a measurement experiment on railway infrastructure facilities and evaluate its results. PLO 15. Develop and implement technological processes, technological equipment and technological equipment, means of automation and mechanisation in the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of railway track facilities and structures, their systems and elements. PLO 16. Develop, draw up and implement in production documentation on the certainty of technological processes for the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of railway track facilities and structures, their systems and other guidelines, rules and techniques. PLO 17. To develop technical specifications and technical conditions for the design of railway track facilities and structures, their systems and individual elements; to draw up plans for the placement of equipment, technical equipment and organisation of workplaces, to calculate the load of mechanisms and product quality indicators. PLO 18. To calculate the main characteristics and parameters of technological processes of production and repair of railway track facilities and structures in order to compare them and formulate management decisions on the further functioning of enterprises (track distances, track machine station, railway track and facilities diagnostic centre) with assessment of the quality of its products. PLO 22. To use modern software tools for the development of design and technological documentation for the creation, operation, repair and maintenance of railway track facilities and structures, their systems and elements. PLO 23. Organise the operation of the reporting and accounting system (management, statistical, accounting and financial) of the operation of railway infrastructure facilities and systems. PLO 24. Analyse technical, economic and operational indicators
