Apply international and national standards and practices in professional activities. - To know the main provisions of the regulatory and legislative acts of Ukraine in the field of railway transport, the Rules for the technical operation of the railways of Ukraine, instructions and recommendations for the operation, repair and maintenance of railway infrastructure objects, its systems and elements. - To be able to identify and distinguish objects of the railway track and structures, their systems and elements, which must be achieved after mastering the discipline "operational reliability of railways" 1. To reproduce the terminology from the theory of reliability and the basics of diagnostics. 2. Compile a list of criteria that must be taken into account when calculating parameters, regarding the assessment of reliability indicators 3. Describe how and why the state of objects changes during the life cycle. 4. Describe the processes used in engineering practice to obtain raw data for assessing the condition of railway track elements and structures. 5. Formulate the main provisions regarding the assessment of the condition of the track elements and construction. 6. To explain the physical phenomena that occurred during operation in relation to the relevant laws used to determine the parameters, in relation to the assessment of reliability indicators. 7. Interpret theoretical laws and formulas. 8. Build schematic graphs of the transition of elements from one state to another according to the theory of reliability and interpret the already given graphs. 9. Write down the condition of the problem with the appropriate symbols. 10. Choose the appropriate formulas that are necessary to solve the problem and illustrate the text formulation with a schematic drawing. 11. To predict the nature of the change of the investigated quantity when the operational factors change. 12. To calculate the studied values by formulas and graphs. 13. To combine the theoretical laws of distributions used in determining the parameters that evaluate the reliability indicators with the visible consequences of physical phenomena, defects and other factors. 14. Analyze physical formulas for the purpose of predicting a change in a physical quantity in the event of a change in several parameters. 15. Solve problems with implicitly given quantities.
Required prior and related subjects: Higher mathematics, physics, safety of railway infrastructure and rolling stock, railway track, track management. Organization and planning of railway construction. Organization and planning of production in railway industry. Automated road design systems. practice on the subject of the bachelor's qualification work. Execution and defense of bachelor's qualification work.
Summary of the subject: The course of the educational discipline "Operational reliability of railways" is the basis of the theoretical training of specialists with higher education, that is, the fundamental basis without which the full-fledged activity of an engineer is impossible. The study of the course is aimed at the development of students' ideas about changes in the physical picture of the world in the process of operation, expansion, deepening and generalization of knowledge about the general provisions of the reliability of transport objects, the characteristics of the probability of failure of railway track elements, the structure of track reliability models as an element that is restored and repaired , indicators of durability and maintainability in track management.
Assessment methods and criteria: 1. The method of demonstrating learning results: solving problems according to the course topic, activity and success in class, the result of individual tasks. 2. Test control to determine the level of achievement of expected learning outcomes.
