Learning outcomes: • obtain adequate knowledge and understanding related to the specialization "Technologies of building structures, products and materials", the scale of which will be sufficient to successfully organize and conduct research in the production of building structures, products and materials, form and represent the results of professional activity; • think systematically and apply creativity to the formation of innovative ideas in the development of technologies of building structures, products and materials; • use knowledge in practice, apply knowledge of methodological tools to analyze the results of research in the context of existing theories make appropriate conclusions.
Required prior and related subjects: • Technology of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures • Information-economic modeling in construction.
Summary of the subject: Corrosion of concrete and ways to eliminate it. Physical and chemical corrosion. Types of corrosion of cement stone and concrete in a liquid aggressive environment. Corrosion during the action of waters that contain chemicals and react with the components of cement stone. (II type of corrosion). III type of concrete corrosion. Characteristics of sea waters. Sulfate and sulfoaluminate corrosion. Corrosion of metal in concrete. Types of destruction of reinforcement in concrete. Protection of reinforcement in concrete against corrosion. Protection of construction products against corrosion. The main measures to combat corrosion of concrete and reinforced concrete products. The use of special cements to obtain corrosion-resistant products. Application of protective coverings: sitalovy, ceramic, paint and varnish, with use of mastics, polymeric, on the basis of coverings with use of chemically resistant concretes and torket-solutions.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports from laboratory work, oral examination (30%) • final control (70% control measure, test), written and oral form (70%)
