Learning outcomes: RH1. Design buildings and structures (according to specialization), including using computer design software systems, in order to ensure their reliability and durability, making rational design and technical decisions, technical and economic justification, taking into account the features of the construction object, determining optimal mode of its functioning and implementation of resource and energy saving measures. RH3. Conduct technical examination of projects of construction and civil engineering objects (in accordance with specialization), monitoring the compliance of projects and technical documentation, design tasks, technical conditions and other applicable regulatory and legal documents in the field of architecture and construction. PRNS 1.2. To systematically think and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas in the development of technologies of construction structures, products and materials. PRNS 1.5. Critically evaluate the obtained results of activities and defend the decisions made with arguments. PRNS 1.6. Use knowledge in practice, apply methodological tools of knowledge, analyze research results in the context of existing theories, draw appropriate conclusions. KOM 1. Clear and unambiguous presentation of one's own knowledge, conclusions and arguments to specialists and non-specialists, in particular to students.

Summary of the subject: Building ceramics. General data. classification of building ceramics. wall ceramic products. Ceramic brick. Effective wall products. Silicate products of autoclave hardening. Fundamentals of autoclave curing technology. Types of silicate concrete and products from them. Paints and varnishes. Technology of heat-insulating materials. Acoustic materials technology. Technology of insulating materials based on bitumen, tar and organosilicon substances.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports from laboratory work, oral examination (30%) • final control (control measure, test), written and oral form (70%)
