Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of completing master's qualification works is: - systematization, consolidation, expansion of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the specialty and their application during the performance of specific scientific, project, technical, economic, production and other tasks; - development of independent work skills and mastering of research and experiment methods related to the topic of the work.
Завдання: During the completion of the master's qualification work, the students of higher education develop the following integral competence: The ability to solve problems of a research and/or innovative nature in the field of construction and civil engineering. During the completion of the master's qualification work, the following general competences are formed in the students of higher education: Ability to conduct research at an appropriate level. Ability to make informed decisions. During the completion of master's qualification work, the following special (professional) competences are formed in the students of higher education: Ability to integrate knowledge from other fields and specialized conceptual knowledge in construction and civil engineering, combined with compliance with applicable regulations, to solve complex problems in broad or multidisciplinary contexts. The ability to carry out surveys, tests, diagnostics and calculations when solving complex problems of a research and innovation nature in the field of construction and civil engineering. The ability to use specialized computer programs when solving complex engineering problems in the field of construction and civil engineering.
Learning outcomes: The purpose of this work is to systematize, consolidate and expand theoretical knowledge in the field and apply this knowledge in solving specific scientific, technical, economic, and industrial problems, namely - the design and operation of various heating systems, hot water, ventilation, air conditioning and gas, selection of circuit and design solutions, features of calculation of these systems, selection of modern equipment, as well as directing the efforts of future masters to implement tasks for the reconstruction of existing buildings and structures, saving fuel and energy resources and their rational use and unconventional energy. During the completion of master's qualification work, students of higher education develop the following learning outcomes: Design buildings and structures (according to specialization), including using computer design tools. Make effective design and technical decisions, taking into account the features of the construction object, aspects of social and ethical responsibility, technical and economic justification, determination of the optimal mode of its functioning and. Select modern materials, technologies, and methods of construction work taking into account the architectural and planning, constructive part of the project, and the production base of the construction organization. Collect the necessary information using scientific and technical literature, databases, and other sources, and analyze and evaluate it. Ability to carry out commercial and economic activities of intellectual property protection in the field of architecture and construction. Manage complex, unpredictable construction processes that require new strategic approaches. As well as the following knowledge, skills, communication and autonomy and responsibility: Clear and unambiguous presentation of one's own knowledge, conclusions and arguments to specialists and non-specialists, in particular to people who are studying Ability to continue learning with a high degree of autonomy.
Required prior and related subjects: Economics and construction management BEЕM technologies in engineering networks and structures Non-traditional sources of energy Design of ventilation systems Design of heat supply systems Industrial technologies and cleaning of ventilation and technological emissions Scientific research in construction Special course on HVAC
Summary of the subject: A master's degree is an educational degree obtained at the second level of higher education and awarded by a higher educational institution as a result of successful completion of the corresponding educational program by the higher education recipient. A master's degree is obtained by an educational-professional or an educational-scientific program. The scope of the educational and professional master's training program in specialty 192 "Construction and civil engineering" (specialization "Heat and gas supply and ventilation") in the field of knowledge 19 "Architecture and construction" is 90 ECTS credits, the scope of the educational and scientific program is 120 ECTS credits. The educational and scientific program includes a special course on scientific research of the specialty with the amount of 6 credits and a research (scientific) component with the amount of 51 credits. In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" dated July 1, 2014, "Regulations on the certification of higher education applicants and the work of examination commissions of the Lviv Polytechnic National University", the content of the educational-professional and educational-scientific programs of the second (master's) level of higher education certification of graduates of the specialty 192 "Construction and civil engineering" (specialization "Heat and gas supply and ventilation") of the field of knowledge 19 "Construction and architecture" is conducted in the form of defense of a master's qualification thesis.
