Learning outcomes: 1. Need to know the basic methods of conversion and signal processing, their advantages and disadvantages. 2. To be able to choose the field of signal conversion depending on the types of signals and task. 3. Need to know the basic approaches to filtering and compression of signals and images. 4. Need to know the basic methods of applying a digital signature to the image. 5. To be able to calculate Fourier coefficients and coefficients of wavelet representation of signals in frequency and time-frequency domain, respectively.
Required prior and related subjects: 1. Fundamentals of digital signal processing 2. Fundamentals of data acquisition, data processing and telecommunication 3. Information Theory. 4. Modern digital methods of signal processing and imaging.
Summary of the subject: In the academic discipline the theoretical and practical aspects of filing and processing of signals in different areas are considered . Special attention is paid to the theoretical issues related to the submission and processing of non-periodic signals and image signals in time-frequency wavelet areas. At the same time it is considered the specific areas for the practical usage.
