Learning outcomes: Program competencies: ФК06. Ability to design systems and technologies for environmental protection and ensure their functioning. ФК08. Ability to ensure environmental safety. FCS2.3. Ability to use knowledge and skills for calculation, research, selection, implementation and design of gas treatment, water treatment, reclamation technologies, systems and equipment. FCS2.4. Ability to identify, classify and describe the work of environmental technologies through analytical methods and modeling methods. FCS2.5. Ability to study environmental problems and identify constraints, including those caused by anthropogenic, man-made and industrial factors influencing environmental safety and life safety; Program results: • PR01. Know modern theories, approaches, principles of environmental policy, fundamental principles of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, biotechnology and professional and applied engineering and technological disciplines for modeling and solving specific environmental problems in the industrial sphere. PR04. Substantiate environmental technologies based on an understanding of the mechanisms of human impact on the environment and the processes occurring in it. PR05. Be able to develop projects for environmental activities and manage complex actions for their implementation. PR06. Substantiate and apply natural and artificial systems and processes in the basis of environmental technologies in accordance with the environmental imperative and the concept of sustainable development. PR07. Implement scientifically sound technical, technological and organizational measures to prevent environmental pollution. PR08. Be able to demonstrate skills in selecting, planning, designing and calculating the parameters of certain types of equipment, techniques and technologies for environmental protection, using knowledge of physicochemical properties of pollutants, process parameters and environmental regulations.

Summary of the subject: The course provides students with the necessary knowledge necessary to develop the necessary skills and abilities to understand the basic technologies of soil protection and restoration. Therefore, the course presents: tillage technologies, ensuring and reproducing soil fertility, distribution, mechanisms and factors of erosion formation, bases of struggle against soil erosion, measures for protection of soils from water erosion and deflation, scientific and theoretical bases of land reclamation, mining, biological, agricultural and forestry land reclamation.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control, oral examination (30%); Final control (control measure, credit): written form (70%)
