Apply their knowledge for professional advice on safety at the facilities of the economy and practical issues of life safety; LO6 Explain the processes of influence of harmful and dangerous factors that occur in the case of a dangerous event. LO7 Choose the best measures and tools to reduce occupational risk. LO11 Identify physical, chemical, biological and psychophysiological harmful production factors and analyze the safety of production equipment. LO14 Identify hazards and their possible sources, assess the probability of dangerous events and their consequences.

Summary of the subject: Dangers of the workplace. Indicators of dangers for a person in the workplace. Ergonomics. Mechanics of the body — balance. Micro- and macro-ergonomics. Classification of branches of ergonomics. The goal of modern ergonomics and its composition. Concept of human body mechanics and parameters of its description. Balance the body position as the basis of minimizing human energy costs. Ergonomic equation and its components. Principles of composing of the ergonomic equation of the work place. Application of the ergonomic equation of the workplace to the production sphere and office activity. Methods of prevention of human fatigue in the “human-equipment-environment” system.
