Semester: 3 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of practice on the topic of the master's qualification thesis is to consolidate and deepen the theoretical knowledge acquired by students during the academic year, to learn the methods and sequence of cartographic works, to gain practical experience in working with geospatial data and relevant software. It is also important that during practice students gain practical experience in the preparation, management and implementation of the project.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: General competences: GC1. Ability to adapt and act in a new situation. GC2. The ability to identify, pose and solve problems. GC3. Ability to communicate with representatives of other professional groups at different levels (with experts from other fields of knowledge/types of economic activity). GC5. The ability to act socially responsibly and consciously. Professional competences of a professional direction: PC1.1. Knowledge of the concepts of digital cartography and the principles and methods of creating digital models. PC1.4., PC2.4. The ability to use computer technologies to create electronic maps and to carry out artistic design of maps and atlases of various topics, to use technical and artistic graphics, color and chiaroscuro plastic when designing cartographic works. PC2.1. The ability to apply the cartographic method of research.
Learning outcomes: RT03. To be able to communicate with specialists and experts of various levels in other fields of knowledge, including in an international context, in a global information environment. RT05. Plan and carry out scientific experiments, write scientific papers by specialty. RT07. To know modern methods of research of the Earth and its geospheres and to be able to apply them in production and research activities. RT08. To know the basic principles of management of enterprises in the field of nature management, their organization, production and organizational structure of management. RT10. Solve practical problems of Earth sciences (by specialization) using theories, principles and methods of various specialties in the field of natural sciences. RT11. To use modern methods of modeling and processing of geoinformation when carrying out innovative activities. RT12. Independently plan the implementation of an innovative task and formulate conclusions based on its results.
Required prior and related subjects: Digital cartography Geoinformation mapping Completion of master's qualification work Defense of the master's thesis
Summary of the subject: Economics, organization and management. The technology of modern production processes. Equipment, appliances, computers, issues of automation of production processes. Standardization and quality control. Measures to increase efficiency and labor productivity. The issue of labor safety. Ecological issues of environmental protection.
Опис: During practice, students must comply with the rules and regulations on labor protection and safety techniques in chamber conditions, fulfill the tasks of the practice supervisors, and treat the devices and equipment that will be used during practice with care. Educational practice aims to expand and consolidate theoretical knowledge during cartographic works. The task of practice is for each student to master the practical skill of performing these works. This program deals with general issues of organization, conduct and summarization of practice for students of the specialty 103 Earth Sciences. The duration of practice according to the curriculum is 270 hours or 6 weeks. The head of practice is obliged to conduct safety and occupational health and safety training during work during the period of training and supervises their compliance before the practice begins. The head of practice conducts the formation of teams. For practice, the academic group is divided into brigades (3-4 students), in which a foreman is appointed. The head of practice conducts educational-methodical, scientific and educational work with students, is responsible for the implementation of the practice program and the level of assimilation of practical and theoretical knowledge by students, and accepts credits at the end of the practice.
Assessment methods and criteria: The educational process includes the following methods of monitoring student learning outcomes: • current control over work performance; • verbal individual, combined and frontal surveys at the beginning of each type of work; • verification and assessment of knowledge. Final control: differentiated assessment.
