Learning outcomes: - know digital filtering algorithms, fast algorithms for trigonometric transformations and image pre-processing algorithms, modern element base, basic structures, principles of construction, methods of design and research of hardware and software components of computerized digital signal and image processing systems; - be able to use modern algorithms and element base for the development of specialized hardware and software components of computerized digital signal and image processing systems.
Required prior and related subjects: - prerequisites: Fundamentals of digital signal processing; - co-requisites: Systems of technical vision.
Summary of the subject: The discipline of computerized digital signal and image processing systems considers the areas of application of such systems - the classification of signals and their types. Basic structures of processors, modern element base, algorithms of digital and median filtering, correlation, discrete orthogonal trigonometric transformations and image processing are studied. Acquired knowledge of the development and study of the characteristics of software and hardware components of computerized digital signal and image processing systems.
Assessment methods and criteria: - current control (40%): presentations, abstracts, oral interviews, tests; - final control (60%): exam - written and oral form.
