Required prior and related subjects: Previous: Modern concepts in architecture and urban planning Associated and following: Course project on the subject of the master's qualification work, Execution of the master's qualification work
Summary of the subject: In the process of studying the discipline, students of the second educational level acquire knowledge, skills and abilities of complex design of architectural objects based on the analysis of historical experience, interpretation of current trends in world architecture, modern construction technologies and options for constructive solutions of buildings and structures of various types, compliance with regulatory provisions and recommendations . The content of the lecture part reveals the current topics of the architecture of the modern city. The evolution of the development of urban formations is considered on the example of historical events, the relationship between architecture and a complex of social, economic and political form-forming processes is shown. The relationship between urban planning concepts and the real development of cities is clearly demonstrated. The most important components of the city were considered, the most optimal combinations of street activities were identified. The main users of the street and the evolution of their relationships are analyzed. Modern approaches to urbanism and the advantages of new solutions are demonstrated. On the basis of an interdisciplinary approach, the relationship between the city's functioning and its food supply is demonstrated. The challenges and architectural solutions caused by the war are analyzed, using the example of Lviv. The connection between the actual state of the country and design and construction processes is demonstrated. Using the example of real scientific and media publications, optimal schemes of information presentation during complex analysis are demonstrated. The main stages of the development of constructive schemes and the relationship with historical processes are demonstrated. The value of traditional and modern solutions and options for their use are shown on the example of real objects. The time connection between technological discoveries and their application in structural elements of buildings is clearly demonstrated. The main structural schemes and options for their application are considered. The relationship between materials, parameters and functions is revealed. The structural schemes of the walls, floor, ceiling, and roof are considered. Classical and modern types of facade decoration are highlighted. The role of architecture management in the urban planning policy of the city is considered.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: conducting an oral survey in practical classes, assessing activity in classes, checking individual tasks, evaluating the student's presentation-speech, participation in the discussion.
