Summary of the subject: The purpose of studying this discipline is to provide students with knowledge on the supply of settlements with thermal energy for the construction of heating pipelines, methods of laying them, building automation systems for heating networks. Mastering the course material allows specialists to master modern methods of solving technical problems in the design of heating systems. Assessment methods and criteria: The maximum number of points for an examination task is 60. The results of the current control are added to this number (maximum - 30 points). The oral component is worth 10 points. The maximum number of points for the semester control is 100.

Summary of the subject: Chapter 1. Centralized and decentralized heat supply. Structure and principles of construction of water and steam heat supply systems. Principles of management of centralized and decentralized heat supply. Open, closed and combined heat supply systems (ST) Heating and ventilation inputs ST. Selection and calculation of equipment. Justification of connection methods, their hydraulic regimes. Block systems, input schemes of decentralized STs Chapter 2. Calculation of dead-end and looped heat networks, optimization of the calculation. The hydraulic mode of thermal networks of considerable length, with complex topography. Variable hydraulic modes, hydraulic resistance of networks, hydrodynamic phenomena (processes) and methods of their elimination. Fixed and variable regimes of open CTs and deregulation, overturning of circulation. Piezometric graph of the water thermal network. Calculation of variable modes of operation of heat exchangers. Regulation of heat release: central, group, local. Calculation algorithms. Chapter 3. Steam heat supply systems. Calculation of heat pipes of centralized and decentralized ST. Steam heat supply systems. Steam STs: circuits, condensate collection systems, input equipment, regulation of heat release. Assessment methods and criteria: The semester control of knowledge includes the results of the current control of students' knowledge, conducted during the semester, and examination control. Exam tasks are also structured according to three levels of difficulty. The maximum number of points for an examination task is 60.
