Learning outcomes: • know the meaning, functions, objectives and components of social policy; • know the theoretical models of social policy; • know the components and the role of context of the formation of social policy; • know the basic components of the social security system of Ukraine; • know the institutional framework for the implementation of social policy in Ukraine; • know ways the ways of obtaining of resources for social policy; • be able to analyze legislation in the field of social policy; • be able to analyze and plan programs in the field of social policy, on the basic level; • be able to present the implementation of social policy in specific areas.
Required prior and related subjects: • Psychology of personality; • Legal regulation of social protection.
Summary of the subject: The essence and content of social policy. Models of social policy. Social policy instruments and their use. Social protection as the part of social policy. Institutional support for social policy. Social policy in the labor market. The essence of Social Security and its components in Ukraine. Essence and types of social security in Ukraine. Social services.
Assessment methods and criteria: • presentation, written reports on practical works, oral questioning (40%) • final control (control measure - exam): written and oral form (60%)
