Learning outcomes: • purpose and basic characteristics of plants convert electrical energy for technological needs of industrial facilities. The composition of electrical installations major industries, especially the mode of operation, the impact of their work on the quality of electricity and measures eliminating or reducing the negative impact of these plants on the electrical system and to work in parallel enabled consumers; • calculation of basic energy performance of electro-technological installations; • power supply circuit and automation of manufacturing processes; research and analysis of the regime electro-technological installations.
Required prior and related subjects: prerekvizyty: • physics; • theoretical foundations of electrical engineering; • foundations electricity industry.
Summary of the subject: Classification and generalized characteristic electro industry. Quality of electricity and the impact on their modes of electro-technological installations. Electro industrial heating: general description; materials for their construction; equipment, power scheme, measuring process parameters, structural performance. Units of induction and dielectric heating. Installations of electric heating and electric welding. Orethermical furnace and their energy performance. Other types of electrical, electrochemical, electrical installation and electronic-ion technology.
Assessment methods and criteria: • a written report of laboratory and design works, oral (30%); • final control – exam: writing oral form (70%).
