Learning outcomes: The purpose of teaching this discipline is the ability to make decisions on the choice of rational in terms of fuel and energy resources and environmental protection engineering systems to ensure the microclimate of buildings and structures, utilities networks. Basic knowledge and understanding of special sections of the student's choice (gas supply, heat supply, microclimate formation systems) for the purpose of future specialization and development of interdisciplinary approaches. Study of design features and functional purpose of indoor systems for microclimate and energy supply; acquaintance with systems of heat and gas supply of settlements and protection of the air pool against pollution
Required prior and related subjects: "Higher mathematics", "Physics"
Summary of the subject: Introduction. Connection with other disciplines. Indoor microclimate: properties of humid air; indoor air parameters; microclimate of premises; meteorological parameters of air; comfort conditions. Thermal conditions of premises: temperature conditions of comfort of the person indoors; thermal regime of the room in the cold season; choice of protective structures; thermal regime of the room in the warm period of the year; heat transfer through the enclosing structures of buildings. Ventilation of buildings and structures: classification of ventilation systems; organization of air exchange of premises; calculation of air exchange of premises. Heating of buildings and structures: classification of heating systems: water heating systems; calculation of water heating systems; hydraulic calculation of water heating systems; air heating systems; calculation of air heating systems. Heat generating installations: fuel for heat generating installations; telpogenerating installations; location of telpogenerating installations in buildings. Heat supply: heat supply systems; heating networks; hot water supply. Operation of heating and ventilation systems: Heating of buildings with the help of alternative energy sources. Energy saving houses
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (20 points - laboratory work, 20 points - calculation and graphic work), exam (written component - 50 points, oral component - 10 points)
