Learning outcomes: - to have basic knowledge of the physical phenomena that underlie the work of various transducers of physical quantities; - to know the current state of development and production of transducers of physical quantities; - to get acquainted with the latest achievements in this field; varieties of sensors, areas and features of the use of transducers of physical quantities; - have the ability to perform settlement and graphic work on the design of information robotic systems; - to have the ability to reasonably apply appropriate transducers of physical quantities to solve specific problems in the automation of technological processes in production, - have the ability to develop functional schemes of sensory systems; - to have the ability to analyze the basic structural components of transducers of physical quantities; - to have the ability to develop (create) experimental layouts of systems with transducers of physical quantities and carry out their research with the use of modern information technologies; - to have the ability to develop methods of experiments and conduct experiments on existing layouts.
Required prior and related subjects: - sensors; - methods and measuring instruments for measuring non-electrical quantities; - metrology
Summary of the subject: Physical bases of the principles of action, technical characteristics and properties of primary converters of physical quantities (sensors, actuator), study of methods of measurements and features of practical application of primary transducers, obtaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills of processing results of measurement.
Assessment methods and criteria: Oral interviews, receiving reports from laboratory work (30 %); final event - exam(test) (written and oral form)
