Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: PH2. Develop and put into production new types of products, in particular to perform research and development work and / or develop technological support for the process of their manufacture. PH3. Apply automation systems to perform research, design work, technological training and engineering analysis in mechanical engineering. PH18. Analyze and structure complex processes of design and technological preparation of production for the systematization of information flows in technological processes. PH19. Design and develop application databases for the tasks of technological preparation of production. PH20. Administer and maintain existing databases and information retrieval systems of various architectures. PH21. Understand the basics of the product life cycle management (PLM) concept, typical architectures of software complexes for automation of design and technological preparation of production. PH22. Acquire skills in reengineering the processes of design and technological preparation of production, modeling of typical schemes of complex automation of design and technological preparation of production of machine-building enterprises.

Assessment methods and criteria: Protection of laboratory works results. Is occurring an orally for computerized working places where processing tasks performed on every job. Examination on course completion. The written component is composed of three-level theoretical tasks. An oral component is made on the results of written components for thorough evaluation of knowledge. Current control (lab work) – 30 points; examination control – 70 points (written component – 60 points, oral component – 10 points): total – 100 points.
