Learning outcomes: – To know their rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to understand the values of civil society, the rule of law, human and civil rights, and freedoms in Ukraine. – Preserve moral, cultural, scientific values and increase the achievements of society, use different types and forms of physical activity to lead a healthy lifestyle. – Communicate orally and in writing in state and foreign languages. – Demonstrate skills of independent work, flexible thinking, openness to new knowledge, be critical and self-critical.

Summary of the subject: Philosophy as intellectual form of a human activity, Ancient Philosophy (India, China, Greece), Medieval Philosophy and Philosophy of the Renaissance, Philosophy of Modern Times, German Classical Philosophy, the Transition from Classical to Non-Classical Philosophy, Philosophy of XX –XXI centuries, Ukrainian Philosophy, The Problem of Being in Philosophy, Consciousness as Philosophical Problem, Cognition and Knowledge: Their Structure and Dynamics, A Human Being as the Subject of Philosophical Reflection, Philosophy of History, Social Philosophy, The Philosophical Issues of Contemporary Culture and Civilization.
Assessment methods and criteria: • current control 40%: oral examination (25%), tests (5%), individual task (10%) • final control 60%: written component (60%)
