Learning outcomes: - knowledge of scientific concepts, theories and methods necessary for the formation of an economic management system in the field of tourism in a highly competitive environment; - skills to use modern methods and tools to form innovative strategies and to improve the competitiveness of tourism; - skills to introduce new effective technologies for combination of "price" and "quality" criteria in the functioning of a tourism enterprise; - ability to solve practical economic problems in the process of managing the competitiveness of innovative tourism organization, which provides the application of appropriate methods, tools and models.

Summary of the subject: Competitiveness of the tourism organization as an economic concept. Competitiveness of the product (services) of the tourism organization and methods of its (their) evaluation. System-process approach to management of competitiveness of the tourism organization. Increasing the competitive potential of the tourism organization through innovative activities. Development of program to increase the competitiveness of innovative tourism organization. Implementation of innovative program to enhance the competitiveness of tourism organization and its monitoring.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports of laboratory works, oral quiz, upcoming tests (only for distance learning students) (40%) • final examination: written - oral form (60%)

Summary of the subject: Justifying the need for an innovative solution. Investigation of available sources of financial resources. Calculation of the cost of start-up capital. Prediction of the results of the implementation of the innovation project. Evaluation and analysis of project performance indicators. Analysis of sensitivity of the project response to changes. Project risk assessment.
Assessment methods and criteria: • filling out and completing a course project (30%) • final control (70%, credit): written / oral form (70%)
