Мета вивчення дисципліни: Formation of students' general knowledge of the mechanisms of functioning of modern communication networks, acquisition of skills in using the conceptual principles of network construction, and skills for solving real problems that arise during the operation and modernisation of existing networks.
Завдання: General competences: - Ability to solve complex research and development problems in the course of professional activities in the field of electronics and telecommunications, characterised by complexity and uncertainty of conditions and requirements, the presence of an innovative component and involving the application of general and special natural and technical knowledge, theories and methods. - Ability to improve and develop one's intellectual and cultural level, build a professional development and career trajectory. - Ability to learn and master modern new knowledge, both in a team and independently. - Ability to formulate or identify the essence of a scientific or practical problem in the professional field, to find adequate ways to solve it. - Ability to generate new ideas and non-standard approaches to their implementation (creativity). - Ability to make managerial decisions, assess their possible consequences and take responsibility for the results of their own and the team's activities. - Ability to research a problem using system analysis, synthesis and other methods. - Ability to analyse, verify, evaluate the completeness of information in the course of professional activity, supplement and synthesise missing information if necessary, and work in conditions of uncertainty. - Ability to conduct professional, including research activities in the international environment. - Ability to search, process and critically analyse information from various sources. Professional competencies: - Knowledge of theories and methods of designing modern telecommunication systems and networks. - Ability to assess the level of existing technologies in the field of professional activity, the effectiveness of technical solutions and the possibility of intellectual property rights. - Ability to formulate programmes for research, analysis, evaluation, forecasting and development of the objects of professional activity, assessing the opportunities that the introduction of innovations will bring.
Learning outcomes: - To apply knowledge of fundamental and natural sciences, system analysis and modelling technologies, standard algorithms and discrete analysis, theories and methods in solving problems of designing radio engineering and telecommunication systems and networks. - Use knowledge of modern information systems and technologies, programming skills, technologies for safe work in computer networks, methods of creating databases and Internet resources, technologies for developing algorithms and computer programs in high-level languages using object-oriented programming to solve specialised problems and practical problems in the field of telecommunications and radio engineering. - To argue the choice of software and hardware for the creation of telecommunications and radio engineering systems based on the analysis of their properties, purpose and technical characteristics, taking into account the requirements for the system and operating conditions; have the skills to debug and test software and hardware of telecommunications and radio engineering systems and networks - Knowledge of technologies for the construction and operation of mobile communication systems and networks of 3-6 generations to the extent sufficient for their calculation and planning. - Knowledge of the basics of information security of telecommunication and radio engineering systems - Ability to work in a team and present the results of their activities/ - Understand and take into account social, environmental, ethical, economic aspects, occupational health and safety, fire safety and existing national and foreign standards when formulating technical specifications and solutions - Demonstrate the ability to develop a feasibility study for the development of information systems and technologies and be able to assess the economic efficiency of their implementation. - Ability to communicate at different levels of communication, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and one of the foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish), in particular to understand the tasks, formulate an assessment of the possibility of its implementation, ask questions and make comments, report on the results of work, make a public speech / presentation, etc. - Ability to use various methods and means of communication, including advanced information technologies in professional and social communication.

Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to: - study of the basic principles of construction and technologies of the Global Information Infrastructure; - development and optimisation of models of telecommunication and information networks of the National Information Infrastructure of Ukraine; - design of new and modernisation of existing networks. The student should learn to navigate the global processes of information infrastructure development, use the conceptual principles of networking in the creation and optimisation of modern telecommunications and information networks.

Assessment methods and criteria: Defence of practical work in the form of a survey on completed reports. Examination control (written component - extended answers to questions, oral component - a survey on the list of issues to be studied and submitted for semester control).

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the course work is to deepen the theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during the study of theoretical and practical courses by analyzing and calculating the elements of the heterogeneous network infrastructure.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: general competences: INT The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems during professional activities in the field of telecommunications, radio electronics and electronic engineering or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of designing telecommunications software platforms and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions. ZK3. The ability to formulate or reveal the essence of a scientific or practical problem in the professional sphere, to find adequate ways to solve it; ZK4. The ability to generate new ideas and non-standard approaches to their implementation (creativity); ZK13. Ability and ability to adapt and work in new situations professional competences: FC2. Summary of the subject: The course work is designed to form and develop skills and abilities to design and develop distributed information systems. The explanatory note to the course work should contain textual and illustrative material. The project implementation period is one semester (16 weeks). The standard time allocated to a student to perform the work is 60 hours.
