Мета вивчення дисципліни: providing students with comprehensive knowledge of the principles of developing heterogeneous networks and basic platforms for new generation mobile communications, their technical characteristics, features of systems and radio equipment used in the deployment of relevant communication networks, the basics of design and operation.
Завдання: The study of the discipline involves the formation of competencies in students: general competencies: Ability to solve complex specialized problems and laboratory problems in the course of professional activities in the field of telecommunications, radio electronics and electronic engineering or in the process of study, which involves the application of theories and methods of designing telecommunications software platforms and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. GC 2. Ability to be critical and self-critical to understand the factors that have a positive or negative impact on communication, and the ability to identify and take into account these factors in specific communication situations; GC 8. Ability to conduct research at an appropriate level have research skills, manifested in the ability to formulate (by making presentations or presenting reports) new products in the chosen field, choose appropriate directions and appropriate methods for their implementation, taking into account the available resources; professional competencies: PC 2. Knowledge of theories and methods of designing modern telecommunication systems and networks; PC 4. Ability to develop and use mathematical models of radio engineering and telecommunication systems and networks at the macro and micro levels using specialized computer programs; PC 6. Ability to develop and apply measures to improve the information security of radio engineering and telecommunication systems; PC 8. Knowledge of basic specifications and regulations for the design and operation of radio engineering and telecommunications systems and their elements PC 4. Knowledge of tools and instruments for the administration of information and communication networks. PC 5. Ability to administer telecommunication networks and information systems. PC 6. Ability to apply network technologies and protocols in developing and operating telecommunications networks. PC 7. Ability to deploy software in information and telecommunication networks of enterprises, data centers and cloud environments.
Learning outcomes: 1. Knowledge of theories and methods of designing radio engineering and telecommunication systems and networks, including basic specifications and regulations to the extent necessary to solve specialized problems and laboratory problems in the field of professional activity 2. Knowledge in the field of civil protection in professional activities in order to minimize the impact of emergencies on the functioning of radio and telecommunications systems 3. Knowledge of technologies for the construction and operation of mobile communication systems and networks of 3-5 generations to the extent sufficient for their calculation and planning. 5. Knowledge of protocols and methods of building information and communication networks to the extent sufficient for professional activity 6. Knowledge of software platforms and technologies for their application for the development of specialized software for information networks 9. Knowledge of basic specifications and regulations for the design and operation of telecommunication systems and their elements 12. Ability to work in a team and present the results of their activities

Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to the study of basic technologies of mobile communication networks and methods of building heterogeneous information and communication systems. The student must learn how to deploy, operate and maintain heterogeneous mobile networks.

Assessment methods and criteria: Testing on the topics covered (in a virtual learning environment). Defense of laboratory work in the form of a survey on completed reports. Examination control consists of written and oral components: written - extended answers to questions and solving problems, oral - a survey on the list of issues to be studied and submitted for semester control.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The current control consists of two components: 1) Intermediate control - conducted in the form of testing on the topics covered in the virtual learning environment, for which each student receives the appropriate number of points. Each topic includes the same number of questions and is assessed on a five-point scale. 2) Examination control consists of a written component, which is conducted in writing.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the component's educational material, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate in solving practical problems, and ignorance of the basic fundamental provisions.
