Learning outcomes: After completing a course, a specialist must know: • legal and regulatory support and organization on occupational safety and civil protection at NPP facilities; • radiation and industrial safety problems of nuclear power plants; • the main requirements of the existing rules; • organizational and technical measures to ensure work safety in Reactors; • calculating methodology for grounding devices; • basic methods of first aid; • fire and explosion requirements for NPP equipment; • identification and study conditions for the appearance and development of emergency and order coordinate action to prevent them in the enterprise according to their professional duties; • predicting methods of natural and man-made emergencies negative consequences; A specialist must be able to: • determine the scope of their responsibilities in the field of professional activity, taking into account the occupational safety requirements and civil protection tasks; • analyze the radiation and industrial safety at the work of NPPs main and auxiliary equipment, to provide measures for accidents preventing against radioactive substances, radiation, and other physical and chemical industrial hazards; • evaluate and control working conditions in accordance with established standards, to conduct occupational safety training; • implement safety measures and develop technical solutions to prevent dangers; • calculate the grounding circuit of the substation, shop; • evaluate the engineering situation in the case of explosions; • select and apply forecasting and assessment methods for the situation in the area of emergency; • determine the composition of forces and resources to deal with the consequences of emergencies; • make decisions on occupational safety and civil protection within their powers.
