Learning outcomes: The results of the study of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes - the ability to clearly and unambiguously convey their own conclusions on the problems of nuclear energy, as well as the knowledge and explanations that substantiate them, to specialists and non-specialists, in particular to students; - ability to be responsible for the development of professional knowledge and practices of the team in the field of nuclear energy, assessment of its strategic development; - ability to make decisions on nuclear engineering issues in difficult and unpredictable conditions.

Indicators of chemical corrosion. Films on metals. General concepts of adsorption. Influence of external and internal factors on chemical corrosion of metals. Gas corrosion of iron and steel. Gas corrosion of non-ferrous metals and alloys. Gas corrosion of copper and its alloys. Oxidation and heat resistance of magnesium. Oxidation and heat resistance of aluminum. Oxidation and heat resistance of titanium. Oxidation and heat resistance of zirconium. Influence of external and internal factors on chemical corrosion. Influence of temperature. The influence of the composition of the gaseous medium. Influence of gas pressure. Influence of gas flow rate. Influence of heating mode on corrosion.
