Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education:
Integral competence: The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations.
FK1 - Ability to distinguish signs and trends of development, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies.
FC2 - Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational.
FC9 - The ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of the development of countries and regions, features and regularities of global processes and the place of individual states in them to solve complex specialized tasks and problems.
FC13 - Ability to analyze the activities of international non-state actors and transnational relations.
Professional competences of a professional direction:
FCS2.1 – understanding of regionalism as a trend in the development of modern international relations, knowledge of basic categories, latest theories, concepts of regionalism;
FCS2.2 – the ability to analyze specific facts, phenomena, processes and forecast trends in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation;
FCS2.3 – understanding of modern ethnopolitical processes and their impact on regional and cross-border cooperation of states;
FCS2.4 – knowledge of the basics of European regional policy;
FCS2.5 – understanding the basics of the state regional policy of Ukraine, the features of its implementation and regulation mechanisms, decision-making technologies in the field of regional and cross-border cooperation.

РН01 – To know and understand the nature of international relations and regional development, the evolution, the state of theoretical studies of international relations and world politics, as well as the nature and sources of state policy in the international arena and the activities of other participants in international relations.
РН02 – To know and understand the nature and dynamics of international security, to understand the peculiarities of its provision at the global, regional and national level, to know the nature and approaches to solving international and internationalized conflicts.
РН06 – Know the nature and character of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels.
RN19 – Know the features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation, international cooperation of regions.

RNVB 2.1 – Know the main theoretical approaches to understanding regionalism, the main categories, concepts, technologies and methods of researching regionalism in the field of international relations.

Summary of the subject: The study discipline "Regionalism and regional problems of modern international relations" is an integral part of the cycle of disciplines chosen by a student of the specialty "International relations, social communications and regional studies" of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, the purpose of which is to ensure the ability to solve complex specialized tasks in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies, to form students a comprehensive idea of the current trends of political processes within individual regions; to provide future international specialists with systematized and empirically based ideas about current trends in political processes within individual regions; to form an idea about the concept of "region", its role in modern international relations, to provide students with knowledge about modern scientific and practical approaches to the analysis of regional systems; to form students’ ideas about the structure, main components and modern models of regional systems.
Опис: 1. Scientific and political relevance of the course “Regionalism and regional problems of modern international relations”.
Subject, methods and main tasks of the course. Modern world processes: globalization, regionalization and integration of international relations. Growing role of regions in modern international processes. Basic concepts of the course (region, macroregion, subregion, regionalization, regionalism, regional integration, regional communities). Regional and subregional organizations: reasons for creation, goals, tasks and perspectives of functioning.
2. Regionalization: leading scientific approaches
Globalization, modern international relations and nation-states: the problem of interaction and mutual influence. World civilizations and peculiarities of the civilizational approach to the regional dimension of modern international relations.
3. Leading actors of the modern macro-regional space: large and regional states and the evolution of the concepts of “large and regional states”.
The evolution of the concepts of “great and regional power” in the literature on international relations. Peculiarities of the crisis of the modern world order: approaches and arguments.
Assessment methods and criteria: - oral and frontal survey;
- written survey;
- selective oral survey;
- speeches at seminars;
- tests;
- protection of practical works;
- evaluation of submitted proposals, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, etc.

The report on the topic of the essay is complete, comprehensive, with a comprehensive coverage of the issues proposed in the plan, comprehensive, clear, logical, argumentative, with substantiated theoretical propositions, with a consistent presentation of the content, one's own vision of solving the problem, giving examples and facts of practical application of theoretical propositions. The answer demonstrates systematic and in-depth knowledge of the program material, fluency in the conceptual apparatus, the ability to think independently and critically, provide evaluations, justify one's opinion, a wide source base is used.

Max. score – 2. The supplement is essential, meaningful, logically argued, with substantiated theoretical propositions and conclusions; active participation in the discussion of problematic issues with demonstration of understanding of the subject and independence of judgments.

The mastered knowledge, skills and abilities provide the ability to independently formulate goals and organize learning activities, search and find solutions in non-standard, atypical educational and professional situations. The applicant demonstrates the ability to make generalizations based on critical analysis of factual material, ideas, theories and concepts, to formulate conclusions based on them. His/her activity is based on interest and motivation for self-development, continuous professional development, independent research activities, implemented with the support and guidance of the teacher. 87-71 points - certified with a grade of “good” - Sufficient level: involves mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at an advanced level, conscious use of knowledge, skills and abilities to reveal the essence of the issue. Possession of a partially structured set of knowledge provides the ability to apply it in familiar educational and professional situations. Aware of the specifics of tasks and learning situations, the student demonstrates the ability to search for and choose their solution according to the given sample, to argue for the use of a particular method of solving the problem. Their activities are based on interest and motivation for self-development and continuous professional development. 70-50 points - certified with a grade of “satisfactory” - Satisfactory level: outlines the mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline at the average level, partial awareness of educational and professional tasks, problems and situations, knowledge of ways to solve typical problems and tasks. The applicant demonstrates an average level of skills and abilities to apply knowledge in practice, and solving problems requires assistance, support from a model. The basis of learning activities is situational and heuristic, dominated by motives of duty, unconscious use of opportunities for self-development. 49-00 points - certified with a grade of “unsatisfactory” - Unsatisfactory level: indicates an elementary mastery of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline, a general understanding of the content of the educational material, partial use of knowledge, skills and abilities. The basis of learning activities is situational and pragmatic interest.
