Ability to scientific analysis, development and substantiation of architectural and urban planning decisions taking into account information of an economic and social nature.

Summary of the subject: Within the framework of the discipline: at the level of the settlement system, the following are studied: - the uniqueness of territorial identity; at the city level, the specificity of the social component in the strategy and planning of the territory is studied; positive and negative phenomena of urbanization and processes of globalization are analyzed. In practical classes, students get acquainted with the methods of comprehensive assessment of the existing state of the city, social indicators; with substantiation of the future needs of the settlement and determination of the perspective development model. Social forecasting of the city's development is considered as coordination of the actions of stakeholders in the city's development. Examples of participatory design are analyzed. Students are familiarized with the specifics of real solutions to social and urban planning problems of city development using the examples of cities in Europe, the USA, and Eastern countries.

The social component in the conflictology of the city.
Assessment methods and criteria: Diagnostics of knowledge from the discipline "Sociology of the city" is conducted as a total, covering diagnostics of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Participating in a discussion during lectures on the material taught at this lecture is a current control. Final control. Theoretical knowledge is diagnosed by standardized control using the test methodology with an alternative choice of answers of the I and II levels of difficulty and descriptive answers and a sketch drawing for graphic questions.
