Summary of the subject: Course project consists of interrelated parts (sections): - Тheoretical steam cycle power plant; - Regenerative steam cycle power plant calculations.
Assessment methods and criteria: • recitation (30%); • summative assessment (70%, credit): defense of course project.

Learning outcomes: As a result, the discipline, the expert should know: - methods of calculation and research of the physical characteristics of the working bodies; - the laws of thermodynamics and thermodynamic processes; - calculation of working bodies in the outflow channels of variable section; - research methods cycles. Prepared specialist should be able to: - determine the thermal characteristics of working fluids; - calculate the cycles of heat engines, heat pumps and refrigerating machines; - determine the parameters of the flow of working fluids in channels of variable section.

The process of pairing and its properties. Characteristics of steam. Table water vapor. І-S diagram of water vapor. Thermodynamic of water vapor processes. Moist air. Parameters humid air. Calculation of parameters humid air. І-d diagram. The processes humid air. Air conditioning. Theoretical steam cycle power plant. Principle scheme steam power plant.
