Learning outcomes: • knowledge of the features of operation of Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) with PWR reactors, the conditions of operation of the NPP in power systems; • knowledge of the possibilities of NPP involvement for regulating the load in power systems; • knowledge of the features of NPP operation in the NPP startup and normal shutdown modes; • knowledge of features of stationary and transient operating modes of power units; • knowledge of the causes and features of the emergency modes of NPPs; • ability to select reasonably and to apply power control programs for power units with PWR ; • ability to apply NPP adaptation methods to variable load schedules of power systems.

Assessment methods and criteria: • oral questioning, written essay, presentation (30%) • final control (control measure - exam): written and oral form (70%)
