Credits: 7.00
Department: Heat Engineering and Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants
Lecturer: Taras Kravets, Ph.D., Associate Professor
Semester: 1 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: • Know the starting modes of steam and gas turbines; • Know the stop of steam and gas turbines; • Know thermal processes in the flowing of the turbines regime in the loads shifting; • Be able to optimize the operation of the turbine; • Be able to ensure optimal operation shunting steam or gas turbines and components of the heating installation.
Required prior and related subjects: • Methods of the analysis of the indices of heat power engineering units.
Summary of the subject: Through a process of starting modes of steam and gas turbines: physical fundamentals of processes taking place at the start of turbines, deformation and destruction of the metal, the occurrence of stress in detail turbines. Starting modes of steam and gas turbines from a cold state. Starting modes of steam and gas turbines with hot and non-refrigerated conditions. Special shunting mode at start-up steam and gas turbines. Emergency situations in the margin turbines and their prevention, warping cylinder steam turbine rotor shaft deflection steam turbines, crash blade system, erosion and corrosion of steam turbines. Emergency stop mode. Stopped mode on the turbine. Ensuring the purity capacitors. Improving the performance of equipment. Removing some of the characteristics of SAR. Modes dumping loads.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Work on practical exercises, oral examination (30%) • Final control (70% control measure, exam), written-oral form (70%)
