Department: Heat Engineering and Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants
Lecturer: associate professor, Ph.D. Kovalenko Tetiana Pavlivna
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: In the result of studying the student must: – to know the conservation schemes of boiler equipment; – to know the methods of conservation of thermal power equipment; – to know how to determine the energy consumption for equipment conservation; – to be able to draw up a program of necessary measures for the conservation of equipment in the dependence on the duration reservation.
Required prior and related subjects: – prerequisites: technical thermodynamics, boiler installations of industrial enterprises, modes of operation and operation of thermal power facilities. – co-requisites: basics of reconstruction and modernization of thermal power facilities, adjustment of thermal power facilities, research in the prospects of reducing harmful emissions in the thermal power industry.
Summary of the subject: The contamination of heating surfaces, their types. The corrosion. The definition. The classification of the corrosion types. The oxygen corrosion of the internal surfaces. The carbon dioxide corrosion. The vapor corrosion. The alkaline corrosion. The cracking corrosion. The sub-slag corrosion. The corrosion of flue-gas heating surfaces. The sulfuric acid high-temperature corrosion. The vanadium corrosion. The sulfide corrosion. The oxygen low-temperature corrosion. The erosion of the heating surfaces. The steam (air) blowing. The water washing of the heating surfaces. The pulse blowing of the heating surfaces. The steel shot and vibratory cleaning of the heating surfaces. The cleaning of heating surfaces from the internal contaminants. The influence of the mode factors on the state of the internal parts of the heating surfaces. The corrosion protection methods for the main and auxiliary equipment during staying blocks in the reserve. The conservation.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Running check (20%): the written practical classes reports, the oral examination. • Final control (80%): the test.
