Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline the student must: • be able to perform analysis of engineering products, processes and systems according to established criteria, select and apply the most appropriate analytical, calculation and experimental methods for research, interpret research results • know the basics of intelligent mechatronic systems, in particular those built using neural networks, as well as the concept of collective artificial intelligence and its current state of development • be able to analyze the features of the implementation of mechatronic systems with neural controllers • calculate, design, design, research, operate, repair, debug typical for the chosen specialization measuring instruments using the software environment LabVIEW company National Instruments
Required prior and related subjects: – prerequisites: Fundamentals of mechatronics. Unifying converting devices of mechatronics. Mechatronic modules and systems, part 1 – corequisites: Design of mechatronic and robotic systems. Modern technologies of designing information instrument-making systems
Summary of the subject: Functional and structural diagrams of the mechatronic system. Principles of construction and levels of development of mechatronic systems. Directions and principles of development of technical modular systems. Control and computer equipment in mechatronic systems. Methods of control of mechatronic systems. Intelligent mechatronic control systems. Artificial neural networks and their applications. Ways to organize the interaction between the elements of the mechatronic system
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control (34%): laboratory works (20%), practical works (6%), control test (8%) • Final control – exam (66%): written component (60%), oral component (6%)
