Major: Information and Communication Systems
Code of subject: 6.126.02.E.049
Credits: 5.00
Department: Telecommunication
Lecturer: Dr.Sc., Associate Professor Mykola Beshley
Semester: 5 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: - Apply knowledge and understanding of information technology to solve problems of classification, development, deployment and operation of various information systems and networks or their components - Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign (English) languages - Ability to use various methods of modern information technology for effective communication at professional and social levels - Ability to adapt to new situations and make decisions - Ability to recognize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge - Ability to take responsibility for the work performed and achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics
Required prior and related subjects: Previous academic disciplines: Basics of network technologies Distributed information and communication systems Related and further subjects: Design of information systems Administration of information systems
Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to the study of information theory, structure and stages of building information systems, familiarization with modern information technologies for their use in building software-configurable networks, as well as the formation of a system of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of building and functioning of information systems and communication technologies and the possibilities of their use.
Assessment methods and criteria: The current control consists of two components: 1) Intermediate control - conducted in the form of testing on the topics covered in the virtual learning environment, for which each student receives the appropriate number of points. Each topic includes the same number of questions and is assessed on a five-point scale. The sum of points is multiplied by a correction factor of 0.66 2) Defense of laboratory works - is carried out in writing in PDF format. The PDF form contains information about the student and 5 questions that the student must answer. Each question is evaluated in one point. As a result of correct answers to all questions, the student receives 5 points. Examination control consists of two components: 1) written is conducted in writing in PDF form. The PDF form contains information about the student and 8 questions that the student must answer 2) oral is conducted in the form of a survey, where the student answers any three questions according to a pre-approved list of questions.
