Learning outcomes: As a result of the internship, students must acquire new knowledge and skills, which are provided by the educational and professional program "Information and Communication Systems". In particular: Knowledge: • structures of the practice base (research laboratory); • methods of conducting research (design and construction) works, obtaining theoretical and experimental data; • the structure and principles of operation of the experimental equipment necessary to perform the work; • the content and rules of design of design materials, to know the composition and sequence of execution of design works, taking into account the requirements of the relevant regulatory and legal documents; • modern level and latest information and communication technologies for the purpose of their implementation in professional activities Skill: • use the acquired knowledge of professionally oriented disciplines: methods and means of information technologies; technologies and tools for the development of information systems in various sectors of the economy; • conduct a system analysis of design objects and justify the choice of structure, algorithms and methods of information transmission in information and communication systems and networks; • the ability to understand and take into account social, ecological, ethical, economic aspects, requirements of labor protection, industrial sanitation, fire safety and existing state and foreign standards during the formation of technical tasks and solutions. • the ability to develop a technical and economic justification for the development of information and communication systems and to be able to evaluate the economic efficiency of their implementation. Communications: • ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign (English) languages; • the ability to use various methods of modern information technologies for effective communication at the professional and social levels. Autonomy and responsibility: • ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions; • the ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen acquired and acquire new professional knowledge; • The ability to take responsibility for the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; • Ability to demonstrate understanding of basic environmental principles, occupational health and safety, and their application.

Summary of the subject: Professional (industrial) practice of students is an integral part of the educational program for training specialists of all educational levels. It is an important and mandatory link of the educational process and allows students to acquire professional competencies and the possibility of their employment on the Ukrainian and international labor markets. Professional (industrial) practice is the final stage of studying theoretical courses and aims to teach students to apply acquired knowledge in practice. Students who have completed the course of theoretical training in the specified specialty are admitted to it, regardless of the form of education. The program of professional (industrial) practice for students of the first (bachelor) level of higher education, specialty 126 "Information systems and technologies", OPP 126.02 "Information and communication systems" was developed on the basis of Methodological recommendations of the Department of Higher Education, the Institute of Innovative Technologies and the content of studies of the Ministry of Education and of Sciences of Ukraine. • The student practice program corresponds to: • Regulations on the practice of students of higher educational institutions of Ukraine approved by the order of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine dated 08.04.1993 No. 93 (http://zakon.rada.gov.ua › z0035-93.); • Methodological recommendations for drawing up the internship program for students of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine dated February 14, 1996 No. 31-5/97 (http://sites.znu.edu.ua › Metod_rekom_pro_rozrob_progr_prak); • Regulations on the organization of the educational process at Lviv Polytechnic National University, approved by the rector's order dated 10.12.2015 No. 235-10 (Collection of normative acts of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, Lviv Polytechnic ed., 2018, p. 87 – 109.); • Regulations on the organization of internships for students of Lviv Polytechnic National University, approved by the rector's order dated November 22, 2017 No. 265-10 (Collection of normative acts Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, ed. Assessment methods and criteria: After the internship, the student: 1) prepares and issues a report. 2) fills out the form "Tasks and results of practice" with feedback, signed by the head of practice and certified by the seal of the organization To the Department of "Telecommunications", responsible for conducting practice, within two days after the end of the internship, the student submits: 1) Form "Tasks and results of internship" with feedback, signed by the manager of the internship and certified by the seal of the organization, with a note about the arrival and end of the internship; 2) The report, checked and signed by the head of practice from the organization (institution, enterprise). The internship report and the "Tasks and results of internship" form that is not completed in accordance with the requirements will not be accepted, and the student will not be allowed to defend the internship results. The results are summarized by a commission appointed by the head of the department. The differential grade from practice is taken into account on an equal footing with other grades that characterize the student's success.
Recommended books: Depending on the received individual task, the student receives a list of relevant literature for its processing. First of all, it should be literature that is based on practice and is often absent in higher education. These are normative materials, branch methods of designing information systems or their elements, materials of research and design development, abstract information, departmental and interdepartmental instructions.
