Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education:
integral competence:
- the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of chemical technologies and engineering or in the learning process, which involves conducting research and/or implementing innovations and is characterized by the uncertainty of conditions and requirements.
general competences:
- ability to apply new knowledge in practical situations;
- ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources;
- ability to work independently and in a team.
professional competences:
- the ability to research, classify and analyze indicators of the quality of chemical products, technological processes and equipment of chemical production.
- the ability to organize and manage chemical and technological processes in the conditions of industrial production and in research laboratories, taking into account social, economic and environmental aspects.
- the ability to use the results of scientific research and research and development to improve existing and/or develop new technologies and equipment of chemical industries.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
- knowledge of the physico-chemical features of modern fossil processing processes;
- knowledge of the technological parameters of the processes and their influence on the yield and quality of products;
- knowledge of the features of the technology of modern destructive processes of combustible fossil processing;
- knowledge of the impact of technological processes of processing fossil fuels on the environment and ways to reduce this impact;
- the ability to distinguish between thermodynamic, structural and functional properties of modern production facilities for the processing of combustible fossils;
- the ability to draw up scientifically based current schemes for the processing of combustible fossils using studied modern technological processes;
- the ability to choose the optimal technology for processing fossil fuels depending on the characteristics of the raw material and the target product.
- critically analyze scientific concepts and modern theories of chemical processes and chemical engineering, apply them in conducting scientific research and creating innovations;
- search for the necessary information on chemical technology, processes and equipment for the production of chemical substances and materials based on them, systematize, analyze and evaluate the relevant information;
- evaluate the technical and economic characteristics of the results of scientific research, research and development, technologies and equipment of chemical industries;
- clear and unambiguous presentation of own knowledge, conclusions and arguments to specialists and non-specialists, in particular, to persons who are studying.
Required prior and related subjects: Modern technologies of production of base oils and processing of hydrocarbon gases;
Designing of production plants for the processing of combustible fossils.
Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to modern processing processes of the main types of fossil fuels (oil, hydrocarbon gases, solid fossil fuels). The physico-chemical bases and features of the technology of these processes are considered. The acquired knowledge will enable students in the future to choose the direction of processing of combustible fossils in order to obtain marketable products of the required quality.
Опис: Classification, composition and general characteristics of oils
Areas of oil processing. Preparation of oil for processing. Processes of primary oil processing.
Methods of increasing the depth of oil processing. Secondary oil refining processes. Theory and features of technology of modern thermal, thermocatalytic and hydrogenation processes of oil refining.
Review of new developments in the catalytic cracking process. Features of catalytic cracking of distillate and residual raw materials. Hardware design of modern catalytic cracking processes.
Processes of increasing the octane number of gasoline. Features of catalytic reforming and isomerization technology.
Features of hydrotreating and hydrocracking, hydrogenation and hydroisomerization. Processes of hydrodemetallization and hydrodesulfurization of oil residues.
Environmental aspects of oil and gas processing enterprises. Methods of reducing the impact on the environment and preventing the loss of oil products.
General information about coal.
Coking of coal: process of formation of coke cake, material balance, characteristics of coke and raw materials, classification of coke ovens, technology of coking process.
Processing of volatile products of coal thermal destruction processes to obtain raw materials for the chemical industry: current processing scheme, primary cooling and separation of volatile products, capture of ammonia and pyridine bases, capture of acidic components, capture of crude benzene, processing of crude benzene, processing of coking resin
Coal gasification: classification, underground gasification, autothermal processes, allothermal processes, multi-stage methods
Non-traditional and low-tonnage new methods of coal processing: production of energy regenerators and carbon graphite materials, nanotechnology, methods of reducing harmful emissions into the environment.
Assessment methods and criteria: Laboratory works - defense in written and oral form.
Practical classes - verification of the correctness of the decisions made.
The exam is a written and oral form.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control – 30 points, incl. laboratory work - 15 points; practical classes and RGR - 15 points.
Examination control – 70 points, incl. written component – 60 points; oral component - 10 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points – (“excellent”) awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
87-71 points – (“good”) is given for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks;
70-50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
49-26 points – (“not certified” with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is given for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
