Summary of the subject: Principles of chemical reactor design and calculation. Calculation of reactors for homogeneous reactions (Ideal batch reactors. Semi-batch reactors. Ideal continuous reactors). Reactors for heterogeneous reactions (Reactors with a stationary catalyst layer). Reactors for heterophase reactions.
Опис: Tasks of design of the reactor. Principles of the mathematical modeling of reactors. Processes occurring in the reactors. Modes of reactors. Mechanical calculation of reactors. Technological calculation of reactors according to existing plants. Ideal batch reactors. Semi-batch reactors. Ideal continuous reactors. Reactors operating in the auto-thermal mode. The structure of the flow in a real reactor. Reactors with laminar and turbulent flows. Reactors with axial and radial diffusion. The calculation of the combined reactor models. Reactors for heterogeneous systems. Reactors for heterophase systems. Calculation of pyrolysis furnaces.
Assessment methods and criteria: Performance and defence of control and calculation-graphic exercises, oral and written examination, test control.

Опис: Calculation of the reactor according to kinetic data for the processes of acetylene hydrochlorination, ethene oxidative chlorination, ethene and acetylene hydration, synthesis of vinyl acetate, methanol and propene oxidation, propene oxidative ammonolysis, butene dehydrogenation and oxidative dehydrogenation, butane dehydrogenation, methacrolein and maleic anhydride manufacture, etc.
