Мета вивчення дисципліни: to acquaint students with practical work in Internet media in the genre of longread and storytelling, principles and programs for creating storytelling and longread, the basics and goals of functioning of storytelling in Internet media, with the forms and structure of longread and storytelling.

Ability to exercise their rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to understand the values of civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine. Ability to interact effectively with colleagues in mono- and multidisciplinary teams. PC1. Ability to carry out theoretical, methodological and empirical analysis of current issues of journalistic science and/or practice. PC2. Ability to independently plan, organise and conduct journalistic research with elements of scientific novelty and/or practical significance. PC3. Ability to search for relevant topics and the ability to create a quality media product in various genre forms on modern media platforms. PC9. Ability to adhere to professional ethics in professional activities and be guided by universal values.

Summary of the subject: People's content needs have become increasingly individualised. To satisfy them and get rid of advertising, people are moving to social media and messengers, and thanks to mobile devices and 3, 4, 5G and LTE, they can be online anywhere. The volume of communication is growing, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to focus and choose. In 2015, Microsoft found out that the duration of human concentration has decreased to 8 seconds. This phenomenon is called the "goldfish era" online because goldfish can concentrate for 9 seconds. It is also believed that humans cannot read long-form journalism. Therefore, the discipline "Longread and Storytelling in Online Media" is extremely relevant. It includes a series of lectures designed to develop practical skills in working with long-form genres and technical programmes that implement these genres. The aim of the course is to teach you how to work with tools and techniques for creating longreads and storytelling in online media.

Storytelling in social networks: functions and opportunities. Storytelling in PR. Topic 8: Transmedia storytelling: a requirement of the digital age. Communication strategy of storytelling. Personality, event and fact in storytelling today. Transmedia storytelling and computer games: what is the difference.
Assessment methods and criteria: Methods of knowledge diagnostics are the ways of activity of the teacher and students, which reveal the assimilation of educational material and the mastery of knowledge, skills and abilities by students. The main methods of knowledge diagnostics are: oral questioning, written and practical testing, and standardized control. The overall significance of these methods is to provide the best possible timely and comprehensive feedback between students and the teacher.
