Characteristics of the educational program: The purpose of the educational program is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills and abilities to conduct research in the field of social and behavioral sciences, sufficient for the successful performance of professional duties of a specialist in "Sociology" of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education.
Gained competence: 1. Ability to demonstrate systematic knowledge of modern research methods in the field of sociology, social and behavioral sciences. 2. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the chosen field of research. 3. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of domestic and foreign scientific achievements and practical experience in the field of sociology. 4. Ability to demonstrate understanding of the impact of decisions and results obtained in the process of research on social processes. 5. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the philosophical methodology of scientific knowledge, psychological and pedagogical aspects of professional and scientific activities, their own scientific worldview and moral and cultural values. 6. Ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of a foreign language, necessary for oral and written presentation of research results, professional scientific dialogue, full understanding of foreign scientific texts.
1. To search, analyze and critically evaluate information from various sources. 2. To apply knowledge and understanding to solve problems of synthesis and analysis of elements and systems specific to the chosen field of research. 3. To investigate and model phenomena and processes in complex dynamic social systems. 4. To apply a systematic approach, integrating knowledge from other disciplines in the process of solving theoretical and applied problems of the selected field of research. 5. To combine theory and practice in developing a strategy of analysis and decision-making, solving scientific and applied problems, taking into account universal values, public and state interests. 6. Work effectively both individually and as a team. 7. Independently perform research methods adopted in sociology, and apply research skills. 8. Evaluate the feasibility and feasibility of new research methods and technologies in solving professional problems. 9. Argue the choice of methods for solving scientific and applied problems, critically evaluate the results and defend the decisions made.
1. Ability to communicate effectively at the professional and public levels in Ukrainian and foreign languages, including with the use of modern information and communication tools and technologies. 2. Ability to present and discuss the results obtained and transfer the acquired knowledge.

Occupational profiles of graduates: A graduate of the program can apply for the positions of researcher in research institutes of the NAS of Ukraine, teacher of social and behavioral sciences of different levels of accreditation, consultant and expert in academic, educational institutions, social research centers, advertising agencies and public relations departments, mass media, international and domestic scientific projects and programs, public self-government bodies and state power structures.
Other program features: The educational component of the educational and scientific program covers a wide range of innovative areas of development of the theory and practice of sociology, which contributes to the actualization of the theoretical and applied basis for the implementation of scientific research. The scientific component of the educational and scientific program is determined by the individual curriculum of the graduate student.
