Learning outcomes: --Gaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills of informational and analytical activity in the international relations system; forming the students’ holistic view on mechanisms of communication and functioning of information flows in the international relations sphere; gaining practical skills in conducting informational and analytical work; developing the ability to practically apply methodologies of formation of informational database and methods of analysis and processing informational flows when preparing analytical investigations and informational and analytical documents; learning to develop analytical predictions in the international relations sphere. •To ability to demonstrate knowledge of theoretical and methodological foundations and conceptual and categorical apparatus of international relations, public communications and regional studies. •Knowledge and skills of scientific research of current issues of international relations, development and implementation of new innovative projects in the field of international relations. •To apply the acquired knowledge and understanding for scientific analysis of global and regional systems, typical of the chosen field of research. •To investigate and model phenomena and processes in complex dynamic systems of international relations. •To apply a systematic approach, integrating knowledge from other disciplines and taking into account socio-political aspects in solving theoretical and applied problems of the chosen field of research. •To combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy for solving scientific and applied problems, taking into account universal values, social, state and professional interests. •To work effectively both individually and in a team. •To Independently conduct research and apply research skills in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies.
Required prior and related subjects: • Prerequisites: -Research seminar in the field of political science and international relations. -Current problems of international relations and global politics • Corequisites: -Publishing and testing the results of scientific work. -Theory and methodology of research in the field of political science and international relations
Summary of the subject: Aim, content and methodology of informational and analytical work in international relations. Assumptions and predictions in the informational and analytical activities. System analysis and theory of operations in the informational and analytical work. Synergistic aspects of informational and analytical work. Cognitological aspects of informational and analytical work. The Methodology of information database formation. Methods of development of analytical anticipation in the sphere of international relations. Methods of analytical and synthetic information processing. Preparation of informational and analytical documents. Informational and analytical work in foreign institutions. Factors determining the state of a country and its role on the global stage. Informational and analytical technologies of state’s image formation.
Assessment methods and criteria: -Current control: (40%): recitation, speeches during practical classes, practical tasks. -Final control:(60%): exam (three-stage tasks (tests and theoretical questions))
