Мета вивчення дисципліни: The main goal of studying an academic discipline is the formation of basic skills in students mathematical knowledge for solving problems in professional activity, analytical skills thinking and mathematical formulation of technical problems.
Завдання: 1. Compute determinants of 2nd, 3rd and higher orders. 2. Perform operations on matrices. 3. Solve systems of linear algebraic equations. 4. Expand vectors by basis, calculate the scalar product of vectors. 5. Construct equations of second-order lines and curves on a plane and lines and planes in space. 6. Find limits, derivatives of functions of one variable and conduct a complete study of the function. 7. To find partial derivatives and extremum points of a function of many variables. 8. Find integrals using different integration methods. Use definite integral for calculating areas, volumes. Calculate nonproprietary and multiple integrals. 9. Investigate the convergence of positive number series. The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: general: 1. Ability to write and speak in Ukrainian and English (or other) languages. 2. The ability to learn, to perceive the acquired knowledge in the subject area. 3. The ability to be critical and self-critical to understand factors that have a positive or negative impact on communication, and the ability to identify and to take into account these factors in specific situations, as well as the ability to manage time. 4. The ability to apply knowledge to solve qualitative and quantitative problems, as well as produce new ideas, show creativity, and the ability to think systematically. 5. The ability to search and process information from various sources and analyze it, as well as the ability to adapt and act in a new situation. 6. Orientation to safety and preservation of the natural environment, as well as entrepreneurial spirit, initiative due to the ability to effectively use in practice various theories in the management of science and in the subject area. 7. Acquisition of a flexible way of thinking, which makes it possible to understand and solve problems and tasks, while maintaining a critical attitude to established scientific concepts. professional: 1.1 Ability to understand and skillfully use linguistic, mathematical and numerical methods in the professional field. 1.2. Ability to conduct comprehensive marketing research of the foreign market, search, selection and establishment of contacts with a foreign partner.

Required prior and related subjects: Elementary mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, discrete mathematics
Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Algebra and analysis" is a component of the educational and professional program training of specialists at the first level of higher education "bachelor" in the field of knowledge 03 Humanitarian of sciences in the specialty 035 Philology according to the educational program "Philology (applied linguistics)". This discipline is mandatory. It is taught in the 1st semester of the 1st year in volume - 240 hours. (8 ECTS credits) in particular: lectures – 30 hours, practical classes – 60 hours, independent work - 150 hours The course includes 2 calculation and graphic works. The discipline ends with an exam in the first semester. The educational discipline "Algebra and analysis (higher mathematics)" consists of sections "Linear algebra and analytical geometry" and "Mathematical analysis". In the section "Linear algebra and analytic geometry" the following topics are considered: "Matrixes, determinants and systems of linear equations", "Elements of vector algebra", "Basic problems of analytic geometry on the plane". The section "Mathematical analysis" consists of the following topics: "Functions of one variable", "Functions of many variables", "Primitive and indefinite integral", "Definite integral", "Double integral", "Series".
