Мета вивчення дисципліни: Students master the basic skills of computer modeling of their own architectural solutions using professional software for architectural activities. Acquaintance with modern trends in the development of software for architects, their features and differences.
Завдання: In accordance with the set goal, students must complete the following tasks within the course: • To study the functionality of professional software products that are focused on digital graphic presentation of architectural and urban planning solutions. • To analyze modern projects (competition, conceptual, sketch) and to discover author's methods of digital graphic presentation of architectural solutions of outstanding architectural firms. • Master in practice the methods of digital graphic presentation of architectural projects using modern software for architectural activities. • Develop a set of digital planar and three-dimensional images that reflect the author's architectural proposal of the student (a public building or a residential object of medium storey). The study of an academic discipline involves the formation of the necessary competencies in students: general competences: • Possession of a culture of thinking, the ability to generalize, analyze, perceive information, set a goal and choose ways to achieve it. • Possession of basic means, methods and ways of obtaining, storing, and processing information. • Ability to take into account the main aesthetic categories, laws of architectural composition, ethnic, socio-cultural, economic, technological, natural and ecological principles and methods of construction. • Ability to self-study, self-improvement and continuing professional development. • The ability to rationally organize one's own activities and manage one's own time effectively. professional competences: • Basic knowledge in the field of architecture and urban planning, necessary for mastering professionally oriented disciplines; • Competence in modern architectural theories and doctrines; • Competence in modern concepts in urban planning; • Competence in execution of architectural and urban planning working drawings; • Competently perform architectural and urban planning documentation of architectural and urban planning objects; • Competence in designing objects of various typologies - housing, public buildings, industrial buildings and urban complexes;
Learning outcomes: The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes: knowledge: • Knowledge of the basics of professionally oriented disciplines of the specialty "191 Architecture and urban planning"; • Knowledge of design process technology in architecture and urban planning; • Knowledge of the requirements for the implementation of working project documentation in the field of architecture and urban planning at a level that allows employment in the field. skill: • Be able to manually perform sketches of designed objects, their working and demonstration layouts, develop computer models, visualizations and animations. • Be able to perform calculations necessary for design, including using computer technologies, • Be able to write descriptions of pre-project studies, prepare project presentations, project reports, including using modern office information technologies, text and graphic editors, and printing tools. • To be able to perform certain types of working project documentation manually and using software systems of computer design. autonomy and responsibility: • Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions; • Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen acquired and acquire new professional knowledge; • The ability to take responsibility for the work being performed, make decisions independently, and achieve the set goal
Required prior and related subjects: Architectural design, Computer technologies in architectural design, Computer architectural graphics
Summary of the subject: Within the framework of the discipline, an introduction to modern trends in the development of software for architects, their features and differences is carried out on the example of completed projects of advanced architectural firms. Students master computer modeling technologies of their own architectural solutions using professional software for architectural activities. . In practical classes, the skills of working with specialized software and how to use it for the execution of specific drawings, diagrams and images that reflect the author's architectural concept are practiced.
Опис: 1. Selection of software for work and performance of tasks. Portfolio review. 2. Implementation of schemes of the general plan of the territory of the object; 3. Execution of floor plans of the building; 4. Development of facades of the building with the adjacent territory; 5. Development of sections on the building; 6. Execution of roof plans; 7. Development of a 3D building model; 8. Work with visualization of the exterior of the building in realistic computer graphics or photo collage method. 9. Optimization of work in BIM software - formation of automatic explanations, specifications, formation of an album of drawings.
Assessment methods and criteria: At the beginning of classes, the student chooses and agrees with the teacher on his own completed architectural project (cottage house, individual residential building), for which during practical classes the student develops a 3D BIM model and a set of drawings that reflect the author's architectural proposal of the student. The set of these materials is formed into an album, and is evaluated as a form of control work (maximum 70 points). Each stage of work is evaluated separately. Semester grade is the sum of all grades received during the semester: • Current control (30%): presentations at each practical session that reflect the process of project implementation during the semester. • Control work (70%): an album consisting of completed individual graphic tasks during the semester. The individual task must be agreed with the teacher. Composition of the album: 1 – scheme of the general plan of the territory of the object; 2 – diagram of floor plans of the building; 3 – facade of the building with the adjacent territory; 4 - sections of the building; 5 - roof plan; 6 – 3D building model; 7 - renderings of the exterior of the building in realistic computer graphics or by the photo collage method.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control - 30 points (performance with presentation of tasks during the semester) Control work - 70 b (album consisting of completed individual graphic tasks during the semester and submitted at the end of the semester). Total - 100 b.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
